"Worst apartment I have ever stayed in. Maintenance is threatening for no reason, you shouldn't be able to raise your voice at people while at work. Forced his way into my apartment without permission or notification, all to take pictures of my apartment illegally. Was forced to call the police to have him removed. Manager has called the police on me for calling the place effing gross even though they literally refused to believe me that there was a bug problem for more than 6 months. Afterwards maintenance guy came to my door to yell at me and threaten me in front of my neighbors. The whole time he was apparently allowing random people access to my apartment to show them the bugs, and yes I have proof of this because I saved their conversations both to others and to myself. My old neighbors and friends witnessed this but wish not to be named because they still live there and fear retribution since the apartment complex randomly changes your rent as they see fit. Genuinely afraid to be here. Woken up several times just to be yelled at for leaving a voicemail about apartment issues. Tried it the nice way nearly 6 months ago. Was met with a new version of my lease if I wanted to keep my apartment where I was no longer allowed to work on my motorcycle even though that literally means it could have hurt me because the incident the manager was referring to was me tightening my chain so it won't snap and putting on some stickers at the back of the parking lot next to the dumpster so as not to bother anyone in the first place. Obviously ignored when asking for help from the corporate office, and the only person that would call me back is the office managers boyfriend. Never once apologized for any of what we've had to deal with. 0 out of 5"

"My husband and I have lived at Westgate Apartments in Ocean Springs since July 2009. This is home for us. It's convenient to work and central to all of the amenities that Ocean Springs has to offer. The office manager is by far very competent and attentive to our needs as well as the other residents in here. We are pleased with our unit and the staff here at Westgate. Would recommend to others who may be looking for a home to call their own. Thank you #58..."

"Living conditions are horrible when you ask for it to be fixed maintenance just yells in your face... It feels like he's either incompetent at doing his job or he just doesn't care enough to do it. It's honestly terrifying to think he has keys and access to peoples apartments 0 out of 10 recommend staying here anything is a better option"

"I just want to thank Lily, the office manager, for informing me that she’s transferring me to another unit soon. I left a poor review prior to this one because of certain issues I’ve been having with my current unit; however, I had a good conversation with Lily since then and I just want to clarify that, in all fairness to her, she was not aware of the extent of the issues that my unit has, nor was she the one who rented the unit to me in the condition it’s been in. She took over Westgate immediately after the former manager had me sign my lease. I am grateful for all hard work. I’m sure it can’t be an easy task, especially in the beginning, to come in and take over an entire apartment complex. I know there’s many different things Lily is working hard to address and I appreciate her for that. I also want to clarify that other than the issues the particular unit I’m in has, I love living at Westgate. Great location, most of the people are friendly, and they always stay on top of the landscaping here as well as keeping the pool nice and clean. I am very excited to transfer units soon. When Lily called and told me that was an option for me I emphatically said yes. And I said yes knowing I had another place I could rent, so I don’t choose to remain here because I have no other options. I choose to stay here for the above reasons I mentioned."
