"If I could give 0 stars I would because The Mason is an over priced hell hole. The staff are extremely incapable of returning emails or phone calls, Maintenance rush every job and do subpar work. They allow residents to walk their dogs without leashes which can be a major problem for someone like me who has bigger dogs. The stairway leading to my apartment has been absolutely disgusting since move in 4 months ago!! When asked can Maintenance please come out and clean stairs: office staff stated they were waiting on bids and that corporate would have to approve the request...So needless to say the stairs are still filthy and smelly Its quite embarrassing to have ppl over when the stairwells are soaked and stained with drag marks from the garbage juices!! As far as utilities My CLECO electricity bill ran about $200 per month and my WATER BILL WAS ALWAYS IN THE $200's which is ridiculous! I pay $2100.00 A MONTH TO LIVE HERE AND IT HAS NOT BEEN A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE! THE OFFICE STAFF LACK SENSE AND EMPATHY AND HAVE A "BETTER THAN YOU" ATTITUDE!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS OVERPRICED COMPLEX!!"

"Allows golden retrievers which were made for a hunting and killing but not pitbulls which is one of the most tolerant breeds because of their high pain tolerance. A pitbull won't care If you step on its tail, the golden retriever will bite you. That's ridiculous to not allow pitbulls but be okay with a breed that's meant to kill"

"If I could give below one star I would. We only lasted at this apartment 7 months. The grounds are disgusting. People do not pick up after their pets and their is dog feces everywhere. 30 cars were broken into while we lived here, a bum (not a resident) was sleeping on the bench in the dog park. If you want peace, forget about it. One neighbor we had smoked marijuana religiously and the people above us were so noisy they finally had to kick them out. I kept getting sick and come to find out the air filter had not been changed in like a year. Disgusting stinky Sewer water backed up in the kitchen because they never had the clean outs cleaned. The interior and color scheme are nice, however the living part not so much. Tried to work it out with Management to move to the other property and they gave me the run around so we finally left. We had to pay $3800 to break the lease to leave this awful place. We absolutely hated it."

"UNSAFE PROPERTY/VANDALISM, apathetic Community Manager, no water pressure, dirty property/no power washing, no community events, dog feces everywhere. The Community Manager does not care about residents. We just had 30 cars broken into (01 NOV 2023) and she refused to show up to meet with the affected residents. She told us that we could schedule individual appointments with her or nothing at all which, of course, was insulting to us. Julie does not support this community or her staff. She didn't even introduce herself via email or notify us when she took over this property. She hides in her back office and does not care. We never receive community messages reminding neighbors about community events or property rules. Just no care at all. None. Also, this company cut costs by putting the mailroom outside. So get excited about your perishables, including bouquets of flowers and food, being left for days in a Louisiana hot box in August, or just on top of the mailboxes for anyone to take. Again, no care at all. Management does not enforce rules so this place is dirty and broken in so many ways. We also do not have water pressure in the showers. The property must save money somehow because the water barely trickles out. Rent is insanely high to be living in the projects ($1900/month for 2b/2ba). It is not safe. LIVE AS FAR AWAY FROM HERE AS POSSIBLE! We also do not have events to support community-building so I have no idea who my neighbors are. When my car was vandalized at this complex and my neighbor was beating on my door at 0620 am, I had no idea who he was so I did not open the door. I almost missed my chance to talk to the police because of this. Community events help with things like this, but again, Julie cannot be bothered and tends to complain about other things she has going on instead of addressing our concerns. This is one of the worst apartments I've ever lived in by far. I cannot wait to leave this completely apathetic Community Manager and her broke-down property. Please believe me when I say that this has become an inner city New Orleans apartment complex. It is dirty and unsafe."
