"I lived at Parkwood Apartments for over 17 years before moving out of state to be closer to family. One of the things I enjoyed most was the peace and quiet. During the time I was a resident, I had several new neighbors, all of whom were very considerate. The location was perfect. Close to everything I needed without a lot of traffic. A canopy of trees around the complex helped to provide some privacy. On the rare occasions I called the office for maintenance, the response was always prompt. I am very grateful to the managers and maintenance personnel. I would recommend Parkwood to anyone who can appreciate affordable peace and quiet in Rankin County."

"Never stayed here. I only stopped by to pick up an application. Fair warning, this complex is privately owned. They will do a hard run on your credit and I was informed applicants have to go through an interview process before being approved. Now, what turned me off the most was that you could only have two visitors two times per week. Yes, they keep up with the amount of people that come in and out of your apartment. Also management asked me how much would my boyfriend be at my apartment to know if I could get an upstairs unit. Personally, I felt their questions were way too invasive and involved in my personal business to live there. I can appreciate their due diligence to make the complex safe but I don’t want to feel like I’m living at my parents house or being monitored by strange men to stay somewhere."

"I had a great experience at this apartment. Leaving here was bitter sweet. If it wasn't for a job opportunity I'd still be there. They were really good about keeping me updated on what's happening with the apartment. The neighborhood was quiet, clean, and peaceful. P.S. people mind their business ;)"

"My husband rented an apartment at Parkwood for a couple years. When he first moved in we noticed a wear spot on the carpet. I suggested taking a picture to insure a full return on his deposit. He said he didn’t think he would be charged for something so obvious. Fast forward to moving out. We moved his things out and his apartment was cleaned spotlessly. Like, cleaner than when he moved in. A few weeks later we received a $50.00 check for partial deposit return with a picture of the carpet area. Stating they would have to replace the carpet. My husband had a mat over this area to protect it from any further wear. Shame on us for not taking a picture. Shame on Parkwood for using this spot again and again to keep from having to return a full deposit. This is what I am guessing they are doing. That being said, my husband did say the manager was nice and was always there to help. Update: The finance office manager contacted us and was very apologetic for the misunderstanding. She immediately sent us a check for the remainder of the security deposit. This was the only problem we had ever encountered with the apartment complex and we are happy to have it rectified. They are truly good people to work with."
