"I just moved in and absolutely love my place.! Madeline had tended to my every need and some wants. She has made this moving experience so smooth. When my lease is up and if I don’t decide to move I will not be staying any other place other than right here in the heart of downtown jackson, at the BEST place to live. Standard Life Flats."
"I would pass on this place. I was in love at first but once I shared the news with everyone close to me they told me I should check the crime around the area. Yes I should've done that first but I felt like downtown is safe and I wanted a condo really badly. The leasing agent will say whatever to get you in he lied about the move in dates he also knew I was only interested in 13 month lease but tried to wait close to signing day to persuade me to just do 18 months which was never ever mentioned. I told him I would pass on the place and would I be able to recieve a refund he told me yes he swore to me that he physically sent the refund off his self.. weeks and weeks go by its mid march this happened beginning of january I still have no refund. Everytime I call he lies and says it should be coming in the mail when I was finally connected to the manager she told me she had no idea what he was even talking about nothing was mailed she started trying to cover his tracks towards the end. I called corporate several times they gave me the run around. I lost $400 everyone was right about this place. All of the staff are liars and say anything. Pass"
"I loved living here. I was here in 2018. I only moved due to leaving the state. My loft was nice, and spacious. Walking distance to bar and restaurant. Great views. Gated and closed garage parking. Never had any issues. The building itself is gorgeous lots of history and character."
"if you want to feel like you live in a constant party live here! music is always blaring no matter the time or day of the week. it ALWAYS smells like weed. apartment itself is nice but it’s not worth the noise and smell. oh and if you don’t pay for parking good luck! say goodbye to your car windows! PASS ON THIS PLACE"
"I hesitate to write this review, but I genuinely think it might help someone, so here goes. I moved to Jackson with little knowledge of the city. From the website, the building looks like you go get a coffee around the corner (you can't-there is no Seattle's Best coffee-it's shuttered). While this is a capitol city, the building itself is surrounded by blight. Look, I have lived in New Orleans, Chicago Charlotte. Jackson isn't a walkable city and sure I heard how unsafe it was, but I prefer cities and urban spaces. I have historically felt at home in those spaces. Not here. While the apartment itself was fine, rather large and while the building maintance responds quickly, paying $1100 isn't worth it. One, the business center is at best old and janky. Two, it took them 2 mos to get me access to The King Edward fitness center/pool after repeated requests.Third, building management does NOT inform tenants of any car burglaries or other crime. Sure, they are not the police. I get it. But, following an attempted armed robbery that occurred to me across the street from the building (and where the truck of the guy sat idling in a lot where tenants parked), the response I got was at best, cold. "Crime occurs in all zip codes" and "that is a city lot." Sure, HRI Managment again isn't the cops nor is responsible for crime in downtown Jackson. But when you are informed about something occuring do your civic duty and tell the people. While, COVID--19 presents some challenges, posting a notice for residents to stay extra vigilant given reduced numbers of foot traffic or hell, just tell people to watch out--that would be an appreciated PSA. I shook my head when people warned me to NOT move downtown, but now I get it. I try to see people and places as beckons of opportunity, but Standard Life and downtown Jackson in general; well they have some work to do."
