"I have an installation question. The installation instructions show two different measurements on two different pages with over a 4 inch difference between the two. Can't believe there's no one readily available at doughboy for answering customers questions now I just sit around and wonder which one I'm supposed to use and hope someone calls me back!"
"Purchased our Doughboy Pool in 2015 at Lindsey's in Bryant, AR. Had a deck built around it in 2016 and have made it a great outdoor space. It has been very easy upkeep over the years and has brought much joy to our family."
"If I could give a 1/2 star, I would. We placed an order for a replacement liner, and pool walls on May 20, 2020. COVID-19 was already in effect, so the excuse that COVID-19 is the problem is no longer acceptable. We were told 2 weeks. 4 weeks later, our Distributor Classic Pools in Aloha, Oregon has not been able to get in touch with Doughboy. We left a message with Doughboy, and have never heard back. We should have been told before making the payment that it would be longer than two weeks. Are they going out of business? Are they just going to keep out money? Has anyone received any orders? I am wondering if orders are not even going to be filled. I would like honest answers of what is going on, and what to expect. We have already paid. I am tempted to cancel the order, remove the pool, and re-landscape instead."
"After owning our pool for only 2 years and taking perfect care, there is an impossible to remove algae ring around the surface. We've tried everything you can imagine, contacted the local dealer, and contacted Doughboy, no answer, no help. It makes the pool look dirty all the time, embarrassing. I would not purchase another of their products."
"I am a soon to be (not soon enough and the reason for this email) Doughboy pool owner. Early May, after researching pool types, materials and service, I decided to visit Blue Dolphin Pools and Spas in Bedford, NH. After having couple of conversations with Todd Littlefield I decided to move forward and bought/ordered the Saratoga model. The driver of my final decision with Blue Dolphin and Doughboy Pools was that Todd only needed to order the wall and liner as everything else was in stock at the store/dealer. All was done under the expectation that both items were ordered and expected to arrive by the first week of June. The pressure was on me as I needed to find a pool installer, electrician and carpenter for the deck all aligned and available for the first week of June. After multiple conversations and deposits paid, I did manage to get them all ready and aligned for this week. I decided to move forward with this approximated $30 Ks investment based on a first week of June installation and commitments...However as of today, June 1st, pool wall and liner are not here. I followed up with Todd, who I witnessed followed with sales rep, customer service and even headquarters in multiple occasions with no courtesy of a response back. I even let Todd knows, and he let everyone he called know as well, that I am willing to pay extra for expedited processing and shipping. Then an email was received by Todd last Thursday Indicating a June 15th possible shipping. That is really disappointing, not what I arranged contractors for and most definitely NOT a great customer service. Todd called again Friday (May 29th), Saturday (May 30th and today (June 1st) with no responses...Then he asked me to contact Doughboy Pools directly, really? It needs to get to that point? If Todd, who is your dealer rep, doesn’t receive the courtesy of responses back from anyone in Doughboy Pools, why would I? Even though, I decided to write this email to see if there is someone out there who may have the decency to read this message, and take some action. If that happens it would be a game changer in my opinion on Doughboy Pools, which as of today is not good at all. If I don’t hear back from you, which based on the lack of response to your rep Todd Littlefield , at the very least this is definitely a lesson learned for me and would be for others. As of now I am very close to lose my spot with contractors, and late summer installations which is not the position I wanted to be."
