"What a pleasant place to recover from too much the night before! I expected mosquitos and icky smells, and had a fun, interesting tour by boat of a different world. The shade under the trees was welcome, there WERE NO BUGS! There were alligators, and lots of information about them, the river, the microclimate of the swamp, and even the people who live aloSwamp, A well-spent morning! Tip: reserve a seat on the boat that has shade protection."
"Captain Zander did an awesome job. Very informative and fun. We saw tons of wildlife and Zander made sure we got most out of time on the swamp. The VIP boat was worth the price, I would recommend it and will definitely go again when I'm back in the area."
"We love the Okefenokee in Georgia and wanted to explore the Louisiana Bayou. Paid for the small boat VIP tour so we could go into the smaller spaces as advertised. Expected it to be eco focused. Instead our tour guide spent quite a bit of time detailing the gruesome ways you hunt and kill alligators, much to my daughter’s horror. I get it, you’re a tough gator hunter, but maybe keep that to yourself when people are here to appreciate the beauty of the Bayou ecosystem. So much for the “preservation” you talk about on your website. We went on the afternoon tour in late June and we did see around 10 alligators, including one big one, which our guide charmed over to our boat with protein snacks, but no other wildlife other than a small turtle and some lovely birds. The portion of the trip where only their smaller boat can go was just a short channel right next to the dock and tour building. I thought paying so much extra for the VIP tour would get us out to some remote and special viewing opportunities but this wasn’t it. This tour was the most expensive thing we did on our vacation and I do not feel it was was worth how much extra we paid for the small boat experience."
"What a great experience! Our tour guide Captain Patrick was extremely knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor, he had everyone laughing and participating. It was well worth the money. We saw many gators, raccoons, turtles and birds. The canals where beautiful, Captain Patrick was able to tell us so much about the trees and vegetation. This is a definite must do while you are in Louisiana. Five star for Captain Patrick"
"What an amazing tour! Captain Trey was the perfect guide. We took the 6 passenger small boat tour with our 3 kids and 2 adults. He was a wealth of knowledge and shared colorful tales from the bayou. We would recommend this tour for any age. Be sure to bring water, hats, sunscreen and a camera."
