Reviews of Mount Locust Information Center
"Small office with a few souvenirs to purchase. Stop and have a chat with the Park Ranger as he's pretty knowledgeable of the area. Restrooms are available here as well, plenty of parking to go see Mount Locust nextdoor"
"Rangers, staff, maintenance were all very kind and maintain social distance guidelines. Restrooms were very clean and fresh, the grounds are kept beautiful and we were given pamphlets and brochures telling all about Natchez Trace. The history of the home was interesting. Well worth the stop. Thank you."
"Quick stop unless you hike the trail. One of the oldest surviving buildings on the Mississippi; an old Inn for travelers. The inside is set up to look like a meal is about to be served."
"This stop on the Old Trace was a very touching visit, especially the slave cemetery with only one unmarked stone left . It's yet another piece of the puzzle of what life in the antebellum south was like."
"Loved this place for its American history, albeit tragic in ways, a part of us. The United States congress needs to fund the ongoing maintenance and expansion of our public lands and heritage sites. These places are our story, these lands are our soul."
