Reviews
"Dr. Faisal Bukeirat and his team provided an excellent level of care, were very thorough, and made me feel completely at ease. Dr. Faisal was very upbeat and decisive. He followed up with me numerous times to check in on how I was doing both pre and post procedure. I would highly recommend both him and his team and am very thankful that they were my gastroenterology team! 10/10"
"The front desk staff is extremely rude. They love to interrupt you while you’re explaining your information and were being condescending in front of me, a patient. They also gave me conflicting information when I called them back doing exactly what they told me I needed to do to schedule my procedure. Shockingly unprofessional in every aspect, there needs to be better accountability."
"The department chair chases out the GI physicians. At the moment they barely even have a department (not counting the liver group - that appears to be intact) as there are only two GI physicians - one who only does pancreatitis, the other (the chair) only does things like Crohn’s Disease and ulcerative colitis. Heaven help you if you need care for any other kind of GI problem because it's not going to happen at UMMC by someone who knows what they are doing.. I have had 3 very, very good GI docs all of whom left, 2 of the 3 left after 1 year. All of them had the same complaints about the Department Chair. They need to get rid of the department chair. Then they might be able to hang onto good physicians. Besides the problems for the patients, it is also a problem for all the medical students and residents as they won't get comprehensive or decent training there."
