"Our much loved pediatrician is an hour away so, I use this place as a closer resource when my kids get sick. The team here is awesome. They’re unbelievably patient, kind, courteous, compassionate and even fun. They’re great with my kiddos. Every time I come here I intend to leave a google review because they’re so impressive. I’m finally taking a moment to do it now. Best. Staff. Ever. I’m really grateful. Thank you all for the many ways you’ve helped us through illnesses!"
"Ochner is now a Redy Med ? Isn't that a copyright infringement on the real Ready Med facilitys that coined the name ? Wish their billing system was as ready as their so-called Redy Med . It has taken them over 9 months to disclose all the billings from over a year ago . St Tam. Hosp. never had that problem. They want you to know formost what your billings total so you can prepare your wallet when they operate ."
"Ochsner Urgent Care does fantastic triage! The Ochsner guide has clear parameters of when to book your regular physician, when to go to urgent care (broken bones, sever symptoms that can't wait) and when to go to the emergency room (life threatening, heart, bleeding out, etc.). I have used this facility twice, once for suspected concussion and once for sharp pain in kidney's. Upon arrival, you are immediately greeted by a worker who declares, we have no equipment and cannot examine you for anything more than an x-ray. If you clarify that you simply want to see a doctor, you are coaxed into stating your symptoms and personal issues openly in the public foyer. The worker than suggests that she could check you in, but maybe its better to go to another facility since they don't have more than an x-ray machine. Eventually, after being pressured, I asked where do you suggest. She then sent me to a facility down the road on causeway approach. Upon arriving there, I was told immediately that the facility is by APPOINTMENT ONLY!!! I was hastily frog marched out of the facility and told that I needed to check in on-line and there are no appointments for 2 weeks. Meanwhile, I have noticed many, many Ochnser clinics popping up all around the area promising care and service. When I asked where to go, the causeway facility suggested urgent care. When I said, they sent me to you, she suggested emergency room. On both visits, I ended up in the emergency room seeing the same doctor. He used his fingers and balance checks to confirm concussion protocol and wrote a note for school. The emergency room doctor did what I needed at the first urgent care. No x-rays were required. We rested and got better. On the second visit, there was some labs and confirmation that the issues was a pulled muscle and not kidney stones or infection. My suggestion is to streamline the process and have Urgent Care on highway 190 get a golf cart and wish people to the emergency room where the real work happens. They could even charge a fee for transport since they don't provide medical services."
"We visited this urgent care on July 24 with our daughter with fever which has been lasted for 3+ days. Staff was nice as well as nurse and did everything they needed to do. However we had very bad experience with doctor(this guy was not even a doctor but PA-C)we explained symptoms and he quickly looked at ears and told that it is a virus- and told us to give Tylenol. We asked how long but he never answered. He asked us few times if we want to do Covid test but we told him that we did it on July 23 with negative results. He didn’t do any testing on flu or checking throat on bacteria. We we asked to prescribe antibiotic just in case we need it he told yes and left. After one woman came with prescriptions.I do not recommend going to this facility. Next time I would rather drive to Covington or other urgent care."
"A bunch of wonderful people providing great service to those of us that need them. Obviously with Covid going on there is a big backup while waiting for Medical care. Everyone at this Urgent Care Center was professional and polite even though the amount of people they are treating is way higher than normal. They still treat you like a human being instead of a number, and provide excellent treatment. Although the person in front of me was rude and impatient with the lady at the front desk, the receptionist remained calm and professional (I don’t know how she kept such great composure, I’m not sure that I could have). The facility was very clean and well maintained. I have been treated here a couple of times and would definitely recommend this facility to anybody who needs urgent care."
