"If you’re going to default on your appointments by more than 2 hours, you should give some warning or tell patients to come back at an appropriate time. This is downright disrespectful to expect an entire family to disrupt their entire day because of poor planning. Reevaluate how you schedule appointments. Small issues and delays are excusable, but two hours is just disrespectful. If I was late to an appointment by two hours it would be cancelled, but it’s fine if the clinic does it. Can I bill UMMC for my time?"
