"I will preface this with: I typically go for the cheapest hotels possible and this was considered a splurge worthy dud to a discount on the website. I booked a Luxury King Suite w Historic View on their website. It was basically a mini apartment. Living room, kitchenette, bathroom and separate bedroom. It's clearly dated and a bit musty but I view it as historic charm. Really just needs new carpeting and some Dry-Rid. There was some suspicious staining on the living room curtains, but again. No big deal to me. There was a view of the river, and breakfast included. Well worth the money I paid."
"Wow.. where do I begin. We booked superior king river view. Room 401 to be exact. We were there for our best friends wedding. Not only were we not included in the “room block” but told that we booked through a 3rd party. That was how our check in began. Otherwise the young lady was very kind. We go to our room, great view but the lighting.. SUCKED. We had to use natural lighting to even see to move around the room to get ready. The view was pretty good. We left for the wedding at 4:30 pm and set the air to 67 degrees in the room as it was already pretty warm when we checked in. When we returned at 8:45 pm the room was pushing out MAJOR heat. 93 degrees to be exact was what the thermostat was on. We tried to push it down to 60 to reset and got it down to 90 and back up. we called down to the front desk 3 times to ask for someone to come up and help and CAROLINE told us that the maintenance was coming. Finally, a nice man showed up and tried to help but told us they JUST had to try to fix this room and it had repairs JUST done on it. He called his boss and they said it may have been wired backwards so try the heat button.. that didn’t work. He stayed about 30 minutes trying very hard to help. He told us to call to front desk to ask for a new room which CAROLINE informed us they were booked. My husband said we would come down to get a refund and had to go find another hotel to stay in. Caroline told my husband we could not come downstairs until she talked to manager. 15 minutes later of hearing nothing we went downstairs- CAROLINE had still not spoken to anyone and sat at the desk with the most rude smart attitude ever. She was also talking to someone on the phone who was asking about a room and was SO rude to them so we knew it wasn’t just us. This is the RUDEST GIRL. She walked to the back and came back and told us the manager would refund us today (Sunday, March 3) because she would be there at 9 am. At 9:15 we called. The front desk girl was so nice and let us know that no manager comes in until Monday and she wasn’t sure why we would’ve been told that. All to say this “nice” hotel was TERRIBLE. And I will make sure every person knows."
"I made reservations for a superior king room about a week in advance. However, upon arrival, I was given a double queen room instead. The girl sprog the desk didn't offer much of an explanation and didn't seem to care about the mistake. This wasn't the biggest inconvenience, but I would have liked to have known in advance. The room itself was OK, just dated and could use some work. Only half the lights in the room worked, stained carpet, stained sitting chair, the cleaning materials used in the room were so strong they would almost make your eyes water, and along the hallway to the room we had to dodge water dripping in the hallway(2nd floor). Only one of the two room keys actually worked. The location was the only highlight to this stay, as it is walking distance from many attractions. Will not stay here again."
"My associate and I arrived in the evening, with the promise of pre-purchased drink vouchers and the ice-cold margaritas that would come with them. However, to our surprise, the bar was closed by the time we got there. While unfortunate, we decided it would just be best to head to our rooms and get some much-needed rest. The room itself felt somewhat dated, and was dark and slightly musty. We were situated on the top floor, which led to some difficulty with bringing our luggage to our room. One of the elevators may have been out of service at the time of our stay, which compounded onto this challenge. In the morning, we were able to redeem our breakfast vouchers for an enjoyable meal served by an energetic staff. Overall, this was an enjoyable start to our day."
"I booked a river view Jr suite for the Natchez tree lighting. When we arrived to check in we were given the key to our room and sent up thinking nothing was out of the ordinary. When we got to the room it was open and they were doing drywall repair and there was no TV. When we got back to the front desk one loud lady was saying that we had a TV coming that it was ordered and didn’t believe us about the drywall work. She then called the workers screaming in the phone that they should have told her because she is dealing with attitude. They gave us a slightly smaller room without the couch and said it was the same price. The room was old, the mattress sunk several inches when you sit on the bed, and the AC sucked. The bathroom had a broken faucet that you had to push in to make it catch to adjust the water and turn on/off, the tile was grout was missing in places on the floor and was dark colored (I’d wager mold). Being the only hotel in town we stayed as the location is great, lack of other options mostly, and I was assured by the other front desk worker that while the manager was off (their second busiest weekend each year) she would call me the next day. When we got back home I called to speak with the manager on Monday morning since we never heard from her. She gave me more attitude than the front desk worker as to why I would expect a call from her when she is off even though we were told she would call. She said she would look into and get back to me, it has been a week and still no response. The only good thing we found is the location otherwise it is a $h!those and has bad management and rude employees."
