Hotel 27

"I stayed at Hotel 27 when I was in Greenville for the Mississippi River Half Marathon. The hotel was perfect for the event but would be great anytime. My room was a generous size and clean. The hotel is downtown at the base of the levee which makes it convenient to the river (oxbow lake) and a casino. I wasn't interested in the casino but I was only two easy blocks from the race area. When you have to board a bus at 6:00 a.m. not having to drive in and find parking is excellent. To illustrate the service Hotel 27 provided, Saturday breakfast is normally at 7:00 a.m. but they had it out at 4:00 a.m. for us runners. It's just a basic hotel continental breakfast but it was available with good hot coffee. Everyone was super friendly and helpful with things like suggestions on where to eat. It's worth checking out the history on their website so you know why you see a couple of safe doors."

"Spacious rooms. Comfortable beds. THE FLUFFIEST towels. The decor was modern. The staff was friendly. The continental breakfast had good variety. Overall, a wonderful hotel."

"If you ever find yourself in Greenville you should definitely stay here. It is now a non-profit hotel so as well as having really beautiful and well kept rooms and bathrooms it has a really amazing history which adds to your stay in a really beautiful way. It's name refers to the 1927 floods which affected a lot of people and it is nice to learn about that and reflect on the place with that in mind."

"Had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel. The room was very spacious, tastefully furnished, clean and tidy. The hotel staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful. The quaint little courtyard is quite charming. A sunrise view of the River is within walking distance which is pretty neat. There's one or two good restaurants and bars within a few blocks, but almost everything else is a bit of a drive to the central part of Greenville. The breakfast was a modest continental fare with fresh pancakes. Given the quality of the rest of the stay, this was honestly a little disappointing. If they could just improve the breakfast by adding some freshly prepared options, this hotel would be a no-brainer, top quality hotel in Greenville."

"This little hotel was the perfect fit for my stay in Greenville. The room was big, the bathroom was a nice size too. The history and the location made it a great addition to the trip. Every staff member I met was friendly and helpful. Having the Mississippi River for a neighbor is pretty neat. Breakfast was good but one critique, please get butter for those piping hot pancakes!"
