"This place is not as nice as it used to be and appears. Under new management (Now called Oliver Place), the front desk staff is very personable and helpful. However, the bar staff is rude, and are unsure of their duties. I would recommend a stay here, but would absolutely not recommend getting a drink at the bar."

"Newly renovated boutique hotel located at the square in Oxford. The rooms have been nicely decorated. The beds are very comfortable. Very luxuriant bathroom with a deep tub and separate full shower."

"What a great hotel! We had a special request to not use obnoxious-smelling cleaners or fragrances, and the staff was happy to oblige! Our lovely room was thoroughly aired out when we arrived. The bathtub window was awesome! My wife and I enjoyed watching a movie while we took a hot bath together. We will definitely stay here again every time we visit Oxford."

"Way better than the old place the Chancellor house. They have cleaned it up. Much friendlier staff. Really updated check in and resturant and bar area. Just much better. Cleaner. The chancellor was just worn down. Price wise. They are damn expensive , but every other hotel is as well. Best place so far in Oxford. I’ve stay everywhere."
