"Place is a joke and a way for Danny Pierce to line his pockets"
"My religious parents sent me here back in 2005 as a 17 year old and it is absolute nightmare fuel. Google says "addiction treatment center" but they will quickly assure you that they are a "Christian discipleship program". You go there for 30ish days and then once they weed out the riffraff who can't work or aren't interested in the Bible you are sent to 12-14 months in one of several other states. It's a cult/work camp, they want converts but will take the labor too as long as you keep quiet. I could write a book about the nonsense I went through as a young man at the hands of these people."
"This place is not legitimate. Years ago I was addicted to opiates and brought here because I wanted to make a change. My family was charged $500. They didn't have room, but they took the money and stuck me on a couch in the main common area. I'm almost positive that the fees go straight into the owners pocket, because during the day we were put to work on his property. He has a huge house, multiple cars and boats, and a lot of land. Pretty easy when you get free labor from desperate addicts. They also only fed us on donations from local churches, so obviously no money spent there either. I told them I wanted out, because I was there voluntarily and a legal adult so I could make that decision (some people were court ordered to be there), and I was told if I left that I would be back on dope by Christmas. Well guess what! I've been clean for going on six years and I did it my way. This all isn't even to mention the religious brainwashing that goes on there. Im a christian, and let me tell you, these people do not follow gods word. They use it to stay in good standings with local churches so they can continue to collect money from desperate and addicted people. Don't go here, don't send your loved ones here, there are better ways."
"I don't know why this place has a 5 star review. It is generally speaking a free place to stay, but it is by no means a rehab. A better name would be a hyper-religious boot camp that's main goal is to brain wash drunks and drug addicts who have no other option than to be homeless or become a part of this cult. There are some nice people here, and they have good intentions, but unfortunately the owner is not a good person. If you have any viewpoint different from his, you will be segregated and be told the reason you are an addict is because you don't have the same world view as him. Prepared to be spit on and yelled at twice a day about fire and brimstone type preaching. And forced to work and have no free time whatsoever, aside from some free time on Sunday. Teen Challenge can help, but so can prison. Doesn't mean its a good environment."
"Blessed place"
