"If you need a simple prescription filled that only needs to be pulled off the shelf and have a sticker put on it,don't use this pharmacy unless you plan to wait 3 hours."
"I brought a prescription to the pharmacy to be filled. The tech at the counter took it and said let her go look to see if they had it before she entered it in the system. She went behind the shelves as if she was checking, then proceeded to the pharmacist. Afterwards, she tells me that the prescription couldn't be filled as one of the meds was a controlled substance and the physician who wrote it was not within a 35 mile radius. I told her that I had the prescription filled there before. She said they had no record in their system. I came home, got the bottle, and carried it back to the pharmacy showing them that the prescription had indeed been filled there before (same doctor; same prescription; same Walgreens). The pharmacist never came to talk to me herself but sent word by another tech to tell me it must have been filled as a one time courtesy but in order to be filled this time, it would have to be written by a local doctor. The issue is, local doctors won't write the prescription. They say have the doctor that initially wrote it to write it because it doesn't need to appear that you're doctor shopping. I lived in Natchez prior to moving to the coast. The doctor that wrote the prescription is my obgyn. I have seen him for years and go home once a year to have my annual exam done. In addition, on the coast, it's hard to see a good doctor as they are not accepting new patients. Besides, I am very satisfied with the doctor that I see back home. Anyway, the store manager says it's a DEA deal. However, Walgreens is nationwide and is the only pharmacy I have used for years! In that the same prescription by the same doctor was filled before at this Walgreens, it shouldn't have been an issue. In that it was, I will NEVER buy anything from a Walgreens again! I'm having all of my current prescriptions at Walgreens transferred to the private pharmacy that filled my prescription. I feel that I was treated unfairly especially with the tech pretending to check to see if the drug was in stock instead of just saying let me check with the pharmacist to see if we can fill this. When I spoke with the store manager, he said that those were the DEA's rules as a result of the opioid crisis. My response to him and everybody else is drug dealers/abusers still get what they need regardless of the rules. Non-abusers are the ones being punished because they can't get what they need because of the dealers/abusers. In previous years, I couldn't get Zyrtec D otc because of dealers/abusers, so I had to pay money to see a doctor to get a prescription for my allergies. Again, abusers/ dealers are still in business, but I'm suffering. Now, Zyrtec D is back otc. The system is broken and until the people who are making these STUPID rules stop receiving kickbacks from dealers, common people like me will continue to suffer. Very disappointing!"
"I got 5 immunizations! The pharmacist who gave then was good. I barely felt the first 4. The fifth wasn't any fun."
"The staff is not only incredibly rude and disorganized but also SLOW!!!! Your prescription will likely never be filled within 24 hours then when you arrive to pick up, the wait time in line is generally at least an hour. Hire more employees and train them in customer service!"
"Disappointing Pharmacy Wait Times at Walgreens My recent experience at the Walgreens 24-hour pharmacy left me deeply frustrated and questioning their commitment to customer service. I had thought I was being strategic by visiting after the dinner rush, but to my dismay, my time spent in the drive-thru felt like an eternity – a whopping forty-five minutes – and the line didn't budge. While I appreciate their efficiency in filling prescriptions promptly, it's baffling why they can't ensure the same efficiency when it comes to dispensing medications. This pharmacy's inability to manage wait times effectively reflects poorly on Walgreens as a whole. As a customer, I believe it's essential for a 24-hour pharmacy to uphold its promise of convenience and timely service. My hope is that Walgreens takes this feedback to heart and works towards improving their pharmacy wait times. Patients, especially those relying on essential medications, should not have to endure such prolonged delays. It's high time corporate addressed this issue and prioritized the well-being and time of their customers. In conclusion, my recent experience at Walgreens left much to be desired, and I sincerely hope they take steps to rectify this ongoing problem."
