Reviews of Escape Arcade & Family Entertainment Center
"Kids had fun but alot of the games were not working properly. Alot of the prize games were empty and not refilled. The card scanners are VERY finicky and don't always work when ypu swipe. You don't win many tickets for playing any of the games. It is a large arcade with various games. The snack shop up the ramp on the pier is VERY VERY VERY slow to get ordered and served. The nackos are absolutely AWFUL so I wouldn't get them. The pretzel is great and kids loved it. But itbis 6 bucks and is comparable to any mall type pretzel stand only tastes better than most. I would avoid the snack bar unless you want to try the pretzel. It is the only thing worth it but expect to wait 20 mins or more to even get it."
"Absolutely an amazing place for family and everyone to visit. Nothing like a quality roller coaster ride to help get the endorphins moving! Such a nice environment off the pier. Thank you for this amazing place in our community."
"It’s so cold inside this place, we will be leaving after 15 minutes. I have 2 layers of clothes on and still shivering. My hands and ears are freezing although I’m normally on the warm side. As pricey as this place is can they not afford to heat it?"
"Very large corporate kiddie casino. This place has all forms of games, simulators, obstacle course and climbing wall. Basically every form of flashing digital distraction to separate you from your money and give you an epileptic seizure. First thing to know is where to get your play cards. They have kiosks all around that you can purchase and/or recharge your cards, but only by a dollar amount. If you want to get the hourly unlimited rates, you have to go see the cashier immediately to your right once you come up the stairs/escalator. The marked difference between the two other than costs($30 for 1hr) is that unlimited only lets you accrue so many points to redeem for prizes. With pay per play its as many as you can earn. One thing I noticed is nothing cost a whole number. All the games are 5.1, 13.6, X.Y whatever that means if you're paying by play, you'll end up with an unusable decimal of points at the end. Some of the simulators are separate and require real money. They do have a wide variety of games for all types of players young and old. Most of the games appeared in good, clean working order, but I saw several games with drinks/trash on them. This leaves me to believe they're short on floor staff for help when actually needed. Similar to others, the prizes you can claim are cheap dollar tree quality at x100 the price. The other gripe I have is alcohol. I thought casinos were supposed to have cheap drinks to help facilitate you losing money in the slots. Not here, 2 beers and a Tito's cost $30. Fly llama brewery is down the street, an IPA shouldn't cost $10. It is what it is, a money trap. God forbid you have more than one offspring, you'll need multiple jobs to afford this place. Maybe it's just PTSD from being a former CEC manager, but this is definitely a special occasion place for me."
"My kids really had a great time there. So many things to choose from. I have two teenagers and two little ones and they all enjoyed it. It can be a little pricey if you have a lot of kids. We picked the option with 350 credits and it lasted a few hours."
