John Slidell Park

"All the facilities for hitting, kicking, and chasing balls of various sizes is great and all but mostly I was impressed with the mountain bike trails. I deducted a star due to corruption in the local government."

"One of Slidell's best kept secrets. Always clean and well maintained. There is a nice sized playground in the front for the smaller children. The Gym and ball fields are towards the back. But my favorite by far are the dog friendly trails both paved and wooded alike. Literally miles of them. With nice comfortable benches every couple hundred yards."

"A nice but very well used park with playground. Has nice shade and play equipment for younger ages. No swings for school age kids. 6 baby swings. Monkey bars. Lots of places to play chase or hide and seek. The walking and bike trails start at the play ground and go to the back of the park. We didn’t see the playground at first. Turn left just past the first parking lot. The playground is in the trees at the far end. If this helps you, give a thumbs up."

"JSP is a great community park with a playground, ball fields, basketball gym, hiking trails, and picnic tables. There are two large and several small pavilions that you can rent if you like. Fun for the whole family..."
