"The location may not be in the most happening or hip of Jackson neighborhoods, but the hairstyles and colors that come out of this place can be complete FIRE. Most of the clientele are more traditional customers, as opposed to the experimental college kids one sees over at Gloss, but don't be dissuaded in your search for contemporary style. If you want red hair that would make a comic book character sue her colorist for neglect, go to Joanie's and ask for Tom Elkins. I currently live in New Orleans, home of the original Blow Bar, and I can't find a red with the same dimension or staying power here. Worth the drive."
