Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Batesville 290 Power Drive, Batesville, MS 38606

"I’m currently staying at the BatesVille location and disgusted is an understatement. Myself, my mother and sister had a fee inquiry and were explained the fee in the rudest manor by the front desk clerk (male), the manager explained the charges better however, during this argument/misunderstanding the male told my sister “bye Felicia” and I was appalled because I would never speak to a customer in that manor (irate or not). Eventually the situation died down and I returned to ask for additional towels (2 hours later) and was denied by the male. He stated “ you’re not getting more towels”. The manger was called from home, out of bed to provide towels. Completely unprofessional (look at their responses to bad reviews) and not accommodating because we would have simply left if a refund was issued (which they refused). I have videos of the interaction as proof, unfortunately they can’t be uploaded as they only allow photos. Hopefully these people find a “career “ that fits them and their terrible attitudes better because this is beyond customer service. Videos will be emailed to Marriott corporate and posted to all social media platforms with the hopes to raise awareness of their unprofessionalism. I don’t need a response from the manager or owner because it’s clear this is their norm as the manager stated that the owner would back her up (which I’m sure he will). Please take this review seriously and don’t stay here. The “crackhead motel across the street ” (the male employee referred to it as such) would be a better stay than this. They are not customer service friendly at all. Again , no response is needed, unless in person since I’m currently at the property. We had enough back and forth at the desk."

"The night clerk (David) and gm (April Rickels) were very rude, unprofessional and racist. My mother questioned the incident charge because she was unaware of it. David started yelling and even resulted to say “bye Felicia” saying he wasn’t talking to me when I asked why he was being so aggressive and if he was ok. April then began to speak rudely also because I questioned the rudeness. I have never experienced anything like this, mind you we’re here burying a deceased family member who died unexpectedly. Aprileven went so far to telling me that there was no one I could voice my concerns too because she is the gm and the owner would side with her.I returned 2 hrs later to ask for extra towels. David walked in and said “I’m not dealing with you” and refused to give me towels They were unprofessional. The room appeared unkempt, and unclean .The bathtub was disgusting. Hair everywhere. I would never go back not even if it was free. And there’s no need for the owner to respond. I can tell by his response and the fact that this keeps happening they allow it and will continue to operate this way. I have videos and this will most definitely be escalated"

"Great staff but the room had a thick overwhelming musk to it. It smelt like there was a year old fish po boy smooshed under the mattress. Also the carpet is like a Brillo pad is after cleaning a greasy pan. This bed feelslike a hammock"

"Start by saying I love staying at Fairfield Inn around the country. However, this one was probably one of the worst. I booked the room just minutes after arriving because I was tired. The lady working the front desk that night (10/21/2023) was not friendly. My card didn't work, so the front desk associate had to get the machine to let me in the room. I was finally let in my room, did my precheck, and the bathroom sink was nasty. Other than that, the room was okay. The door on the outside was chipped away, which was very concerning. The following day, they had a continental breakfast; however, I was not a fan of it. I have to say, when checking out (10/22/2023), the front desk associate was more pleasant than the night before. The location is a distance from the highway but surrounded by eaters."

"I will only stay here at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Batesville, MS when I am in this area. ALL of the staff is friendly and accommodating. David at the front desk is new, but his work ethics and personality are a jewel. Housekeepers will check in with you informally as you pass them in the hallway just to make sure everything is to your expectations. I appreciate how consistently cordial and hospitable the staff is with everyone. The breakfast is always fresh. I enjoy the available variations of options to load up my morning oatmeal. The location is ideally situated right off Interstate 55."
