"We been here three times and love it. Not only a good restaurant but a nice seafood market is attached. You order at the counter they assign you a table and they bring the food out to you. Very efficient operation. Great service. Is very popular with the locals- parking can be a little tight at peak lunchtime (good sign - it’s a popular spot). Items we’ve had : Gumbo- not a dark roux, but loaded with shrimp and tasty Fried pork chops- crispy and tender, two pork chops and sides are good. A lot for one person Shrimp Po-Boy- very good, New Orleans style bread fully dressed loaded with fresh shrimp. Caesar salad with shrimp. -large portion . Very tasty dressing. Catfish crispy and moist the hush puppies were great Stuffed artichoke heart - this was the only item on the menu we’ve had that we didn’t think was a repeat. The stuffing was too heavy for our liking. Sort of an Italian breadcrumb dressing that overwhelmed the artichoke. Good choice for lunch - a little off the highway but worth the short drive!"

"Wow! Had the shrimp/catfish platter with fried okra, hush puppies, and corn nibbles. Huge portions. Great tasting. Reasonably priced. We went on a Tuesday at 1:30pm and the parking lot was nearly full. Place was clean and help was polite."

"Mandeville Seafood basically lost a customer last week. Me! It's really gone downhill over the years. What did me in was one of my favorite starters...fried mushrooms. When the order arrived I had to call the manager over. I pointed to the dish and asked if she thought $1.00 per mushroom sounded reasonable. I received a curt "we serve them by weight" response. There were 9 mushrooms in the entire order. It was ridiculous. That was a week ago. We went to a competitor of theirs in Covington, and for $7.99 there were more than 4x the amount of mushrooms on the plate, and they tasted better as well. I included photos of the two portions from the two restaurants. Mandeville Seafood should be embarrassed."
