"Staff was nice. Food was hot and tasty. Atmosphere is fun. A lil pricey for what you get."
"Got our order to go, which apparently you're charged $2.50 for to go orders but they don't tell you that and also won't give you a receipt unless you ask for one. Ordered: A burger with cheese and fries. Meat was super thin, bun was flat, and it looked like maybe a handful of fries. Kid ate it any ways. $11.50. Not worth it. Also got a chicken fried steak sandwich. Very few fries, the chicken fried steak was very VERY THIN, chewy, and really tough. I had to actually rip a piece off with my teeth to chew and when i chewed it, it felt like I was biting into rubbery jerky between 2 slices of great value brand Texas toast. Not sure if that's the brand of bread but it's what it tasted and smelled like. They also put almost no country gravy on it. Kinda like when you do a thin swipe of mayo. $11. Not worth it. Total for literally these 2 things was almost $30 including tax... The food has DEFINITELY gotten really bad but way more expensive. Also when my husband went in to pick it up, he saw whoever was in charge for the evening being extremely rude to the girl working there and was extremely short with my husband almost like she was looking at a piece of trash who was bothering her. She also made it a point to rudely tell the waitress to get the bathroom clean and that she'd be inspecting it to make sure she actually did it right. This restaurant went from being very good when it first opened and was riding on the coat tails of its predecessor "Herrins", which everyone loved and misses, and fair priced with nice staff and good cooks to having really bad and rude service, being price gouging expensive, and to having cooks that apparently can't cook. I did call and make her break down the cost for me when my husband returned and told me how much he was charged and how he saw the what I assume is the manager treating the waitress so poorly. She was really rude when I told her it's unacceptable to charge people added fees but not tell them until they notice a discrepancy on the bill. So since she was rude, I told her off and was not nice about it and then hung up on her when she started yelling. Based on this experience, I'm not shocked that we never see more than one or two (if even that), cars in their parking lot aside from the employees vehicles, and I'm also not shocked the owner is trying to sell the restaurant. Hopefully whoever purchases it, if someone actually does, has a better sense of what type of people should be hired, quality in product they are attempting to serve people, and a better sense in how not to completely rip off customers. The bottom line is that you can get better food at McDonald's, and that's very sad to have to say."
"Delightful, charming diner with a varied menu including Southern Comfort Food and light, modern dishes - not to mention ice cream and milkshakes! Quick, courteous service with a big smile! Well worth driving a little out-of-the-way to enjoy this little gem of a restaurant!"
"The food was delicious. I ordered the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes, gravy, and greens beans. The hamburger steak was seasoned so well and the gravy was top notch. My husband ordered the roast beef poboy with gravy, and he was overly impressed with how delicious it was. We drove a good 40 minutes just to order out, and it was so worth it. This is my favorite diner, and we will visit often. My kids got the chicken nugget meal, and it was yummy too. The chicken nuggets are handbattered and soooo good. Let me not forget the delish rootbeer float I ordered too. This place has great quality food!!"
