Cosmos

"Cosmos is in a cute little spot under Pearl Hotel and next to Hinge in Bay St Louis. I have eaten here before and really enjoyed it. I like this little spot for breakfast and lunch but the service leaves something to be desired. I realize small businesses are struggling to find employees willing to work however, when I stopped in for breakfast today, there was no one at the front to take my order. I waited. And waited. And waited more. I finally opened the door to the kitchen just a little to get someone’s attention. I was told someone would be out shortly. A young girl(high school or college age maybe??)finally appeared with no acknowledgment or apology and took my order. After, I went to sit at a table that has dried avocado stuck to it. The long bench seat where my table is has crumbs and stickiness on it from previous customers. I really want Cosmos to succeed. There are not too many choices for breakfast in Bay nor are there other options by the water where I love to walk and get my day going. But Cosmos definitely needs to up its’ game when it comes to customer service. Edit: as I’ve been sitting here, someone walked in to place an order. She waited but then turned around and left."

"Overall loved it and will absolutely be back, but they were definitely experiencing staff shortage when we were there on a Saturday morning. There wasn't a "hiring" sign out so maybe someone called out sick, but it looked like there was one person manning the bar and one cook in the back handling a party of 6 and several smaller parties. Both staff were excellent and did not let this stress them, but it would be great if management made sure they had the help they needed. Because of the short staffing and one of the drink machines misbehaving, it was a longer wait than we expected. Drinks and food were great, the 2 people working were very attentive and helpful."

"We came here for breakfast before visiting the NASA Infinity Center just down the road. It was a wonderful little gem in Bay St. Louis. The food was all homemade and amazing. The coffee drinks were impeccable. We added it to our must-do’s list for our next trip down to the area. We will definitely be back!"

"The food was amazing.. we have been a few times ...I just hate that there is always one server and she does an amazing job I just know from experience she needs help!! Always kind and pleasant so we don't mind waiting! Chef's are talented as well! Definitely now your ordinary menu but great choices... Oh and the little card trivia games are a great way to put your phone down and enjoy the company!"

"Went on an extremely busy saturday morn...got seated at the bar immediately...I had the breaky with scrambled eggs, grits and smoked andouille sausage and it was fantastic. Huge portions! My eyes were bigger than my stomach because we also got an order of sundae beignets and I couldnt finish them all! I originally wanted to check it out just for the space theme but will def be back because of the great food! The decor is the icing on the cake!"
