"AVOID Viking products. They are nor luxury, nor quality, as they claim. Look at the photos of my Viking ice maker we installed in 2022. Does this heavy rust looks luxury?? This ice maker produces product for human consumption. How safe is this ice??? I am appalled by this and intend to file a formal complain with the US Consumer Protection Agency and the FDA."
"Beautiful range but the oven was dead on arrival. Called Viking Customer Service in MS, explained exactly what was working and not working and they sent service. Service shows up, spends 10 minutes and says “it’s a bad DCI Board…I don’t have it. I’ll need to order it and it will be 2 weeks!” No oven for Thanksgiving! Thanks Viking!! Maybe I should have purchased a Wolf unit?!"
"Is there a '0 star' for this company? Buyer beware!! Watch out for any product sold by Middleby Residential (Viking parent company). Perhaps the worst appliance product out there in the market. Just not worth the high price tag after buying multiple appliances Faulty microwave drawer hasn't been fixed for over 2 months. Customer support is non-responsive. Not do they explain for the delay after multiple calls, voicemails, or emails"
"Of the three Viking appliances I recently purchased, I love the range and dishwasher, however this is a 1-star review and that is due to the refrigerator having been nothing but problems. Viking sent a 3rd party repair person to correct the issue. Due to my location (apparently) it took the repair company 2 weeks to get out here, 5 weeks to order parts and another week to return. I live an hour outside of Pittsburgh and an hour from Cleveland, so the location really shouldn't be a problem. However, I waited 2 months to get the refrigerator fixed (it freezes our food - even when set to 37 degrees). The problem still persists. I called Viking Customer Care again today, and expressed my frustration not only with the quality of the product, but also the time it took (2 months) to get the repair parts installed and that didn't even fix the issue. I think Viking refrigerators are generally great, but I got a defective unit. And rather than send me a replacement unit (since we've already gone down the repair path). Viking is sending another repair technician to my home. The customer care representative, asked for my serial number, after providing it, she indicated that it wasn't valid - which she confirmed later on in our conversation that it was indeed correct. I also had to repeat my address several times. When she would look up a service option, and return to the screen she told me my address was gone. My appliances are all registered on Viking's website, why the customer care representative wasn't able to pull my information from that or from my previous support case seems counter-intuitive. For a supposed higher quality appliance, I'm disappointed I wasn't provided higher quality of service. And I have to wonder how many times I'll be doing this until my refrigerator works as advertised, or until I give up and get rid of the unit. I NEVER had this issue with My SubZero!"
"The Viking Appliance Corporation has failed to honor a safety recall on our 2 year old dishwasher. We had been told on September 11, 2013 that the error code displayed on the appliance shows the heating element has failed and after looking up the parts the technician explained to us that the heating assembly and wiring harness are covered under a safety recall. I had been working with a repair company trying to get this resolved, they had assured me they had been in contact with their Viking sales rep, and not to worry the parts are covered under warranty and were being shipped. Here we are a month later and today I’m told Viking has determined your dishwasher is not covered and they would not honor the recall. The repair company had also explained they did not understand this because they are holding a document that clearly shows it is covered and thought Viking should honor the recall. Vikings reply is that the appliance is not covered. If this is the case it has taken Viking a month to make this determination. I had spoken with Vikings customer service several times and each time had been told someone would be returning my call within 48 hours. This never happened. I feel Viking is an awful company and does not care about the consumer. We have a full suite of Viking appliances. (Refrigerator, 6 burner 48 inch Dual fuel oven, Hood. dishwasher and microwave) all 2 years old. The oven has been repaired twice, the hood has been repaired once, and this is the second time we have had to have the dishwasher repaired. We are sorry we had ever purchased any Viking product. I now feel the professional kitchen we had tried so hard to build is full of nothing more than overpriced junk and will be sure to tell everyone about our experiences with Viking. At this point we have authorized the repair company to order parts and repair the dishwasher at our expense, We have been without a dishwasher for over and a month and are tired of getting the runaround from Viking"
