"I wanted to tryout a new eatery and I’m so glad I chose Ramie’s. It has a mellow and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts greet everyone. The food is cooked after your ordered is placed in. They do have a buffet, but I haven’t tried it."
"Came to town and was told this was the best place to come and eat a good home style meal. The buffet did not disappoint. When walking in we were greeted by staff and patrons alike. We were quickly seated and drink orders were taken. For my first round I had a nice salad, hamburger steak, meatloaf and collard greens. My second round I had some of the best fried catfish I’ve had in a long time. It was fried crispy and was delicious. They had seafood gumbo and a variety of dessert to choose from. I left full and completely satisfied. I am grateful I had the opportunity to eat here and would recommend Ramire’s to anyone and everyone."
"This was my first time visiting the restaurant, but I was incredibly pleased to see such a high quality place and a small town like bogalusa. My family and I all grew up here and I was back to visit. The food here was tremendous especially for the price. The buffet with a drink was less than $20. All of the food was fresh. I especially enjoyed the hush puppies and the corn grits. The waitress I had was absolutely phenomenal and the guy who took my money at the end was also very cordial. I've absolutely no complaints about this place whatsoever. If you are ever in Bogalusa then you should definitely check this place out."
"I heard the food here was good. It’s a nice space and appears clean. They don’t seem to believe in using the AC. The ceilings are high and they have large fans, but every time I have gone it’s been uncomfortably hot. There always seems to be staff who are off work going into the kitchen and even SMALL CHILDREN running in and out of the kitchen. I have ordered off the menu and eaten the seafood buffet. It’s all been extremely salty , yet bland. I was not happy that I paid $25 for the buffet and everything was old. They were not good at putting out fresh food when the pans were nearly empty. In the rare occasion they did put out something new, it tasted different from the previous batch. There’s no consistency. It’s not worth $25 , at all! The service isn’t great either. My server last time didn’t seem to understand English well and had her small children going in and out of the kitchen. It’s a hazard and made me very nervous for their safety."
"I got the fried catfish and fries with coslaw. We also got fried alligator with honey mustard. It was all so amazingly smooth to the taste. It's my favorite go to spot for catfish, and my first time trying alligator. I was able to chew the alligator without having a hard time, and the staff was nice to us too. I'd recommend this place. What I thought was really took the cake was that the catfish tasted so good I didn't need any sauces for it."
