"They never returned my calls. I'm disabled and will be 60 soon. I needed help. They obviously don't care."
"Great place to shop for my family needs. Christian music throughout store and scriptures are on receipt. Prices are way cheaper then Goodwill. Store clerks are friendly and helpful. They do half off on corresponding tickets."
"At 8:30 It's hot only to be told we only see 8 people come back at 12 noon but you not opening the door till 1:30. I came very close to passing out this morning and you tell me to come back."
"The Salvation Army is the right place to go if you want help the employees are always friendly and greets you with a smile. They are always interested in meeting your needs. Way to go Salvation Army!!"
"This place is run like a cult or satellite prison. They make you leave the building every morning at 7:30 accept on Saturdays and Sundays, and you must be in by curfew, 9:00 every-night . You pay $75 a week to stay there , even though they received donations receive tax breaks as a homeless shelter. They make you breathe in a breathalyzer before you can enter the building; if you are found over alcohol level they put you out. They give random drug test that you must take or they put you out. This is advantageous act because most homeless people has either a drug or alcohol problem. And what do you get for your $75 a week , a twin sized bed, a cabinet and dresser, a shared room with 3 other strangers, and a shared bathroom with 7 stranger! They force you to go to their church services Thursday and Sunday, and if you complain about anything they put you out! If you are asked to leave for any reason you must gather your things and leave immediately, without a pro-rated refund for the week! Most people who are homeless have no transportation, no place to store their property, and no where to go. But if you refuse to leave they call the police and have you escorted off the property! Wow, great charity right! The only reason they get two stars from me is because; (1) out of all of shelters and transitional housing in Jackson this is as good as it gets; and (2) this is the best looking Salvation Army that I seen throughout the Nation!"
