"This was by far the best experience with any dental procedure I have ever had. Dr. Harmon was amazing. His staff is amazing, Courtney and Angel. If you need root canal this is the dentist you need. I am not a fan of any dentist, but if more work was needed I would return with no issues."
"This place was nothing short of amazing. I needed a root canal right when Covid19 kicked off. They couldn't get me in unless it became an emergency because of the state's restrictions but kept in constant contact with me and checked my pain level. Once I got in, Dr. Harmon put me at ease. He is nothing short of a brilliant doctor. He explains everything in scientific terms and then breaks it down to make sure the patient understands everything. My tooth was very problematic due to the anatomy of my jaw and Dr. Harmon refused to give up on it. When the first root canal did not solve the problem, he exhausted all other options. Several rounds of antibiotics, steroid packs, and a root canal retreat without charging me anything beyond the first charge for the original root canal. I even got a refund because of over-payment. I rarely leave reviews and I like most people am terrified of the dentist and root canals. Rest assured Dr. Harmon is an absolute genius in his field and you will not find better."
"I live on the MS Gulf Coast & had a sudden, unbearable toothache. I made an appointment w/my dentist the next morning & rushed to see him. My dentist said I needed a root canal - possibly TWO. This would require multiple appointments. I was in so much pain they suggested I see an endodontist. I had no idea who to see & was quite frankly FREAKING OUT. (I HAVE HUGE DENTAL ANXIETY) My Dentist recommended an Endodontist in Gulfport OR another in Slidell (Dr. Harmon). I asked which I should use. The staff basically said "It's up to you". I'm freaking out, in pain, cant even think straight -I'm in no condition to "pick one". One of the women who worked for my Dentist whispered "If it was me, I'd go see Dr Harmon." That was that! I went home. My Dentist would make arrangements w/my ins & arrange an appt w/Dr Harmon. My anxiety was through the roof when I left my Dentist. I was thinking I'd made a terrible mistake. Slidell was a longer drive than Gulfport. Within the hr my Dentist called to say Dr Harmon agreed to fit me in THAT DAY. If I could be at his office in 2 hrs he'd take me right in. I knew if I was left on my own to "think about it" AKA "obsess about it" I probably wouldn't go to the appt in a few days. I agreed to go THAT DAY. Immediately after the call from my Dentist - Dr. Harmon's staff called to get info from me, give me the address & confirm I'd be there. I needed someone to drive me home afterwards. My husband come home & we left. I was near a panic attack by the time we got in the buidling to see Dr Harmon. I had to fill out some papers & wait about 15 mins for my turn. The woman before me was finished w/her work being done: She was SMILING, TALKING & seemed to be in VERY GOOD spirits considering what I believed was complete & utter torture. (I'd never had a root canal - only a few fillings & wisdom teeth removed.) It was my turn. I explained to Dr Harmon how much anxiety I was having (freaking out ready to run out of the building - kind of anxiety). Dr Harmon was understanding. He BRIEFLY explained what he was going to do. 1st, he would "test" my teeth w/something very cold to see which tooth was actually my enemy. After that he couldn't be sure which tooth it was that needed the root canal. He explained that both teeth did have decay. It was up to me if I wanted him to try & do 1 tooth - with the chance that the other tooth would need a root canal later OR if I wanted to do both that day. Completely out of my mind I agreed to BOTH teeth having root canals at the same time. As Dr Harmon & his assistant began to get things ready to get started he told me he would explain everything he was doing step by step as we went through procedure. I told him I preferred not to know anything. JUST DO IT. Dr Harmon was gentle, kind & calming. He & his assistant worked quickly w/out even needing to speak to 1 another very often. When they did they spoke quietly, softly & didn't say anything that made me nervous. Half way through I had calmed down a lot. I didn't have any gas or other meds to calm my anxiety. I did EXPECT something like that, but I didn't ask for it & was obviously fine w/out it. At the end of my 2 root canals I was SMILING, TALKING & in VERY GOOD SPIRITS! AH-MAZING! I was sent home w/antibiotics & pain meds. Dr Harmon called the next day to check on me. I wasn't doing very well. I was in a lot of pain, swelling & was crying. He said I had a great deal of infection. He called in a stronger antibiotic to take along w/the other antibiotic as well as stronger pain meds. He called again that night & the next 2 days. I healed beautifully after that. My root canals are like brand new teeth! I later learned from my Dentist that I have "highly sensitive nerves". That was the reason I had so much pain & swelling. I have the same pain & swelling after EVERY dental procedure. I've since had a root canal done by my Dentist & in his office. It takes weeks to complete a root canal & honestly the work as not nearly as well as the work Dr Harmon does. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. HARMON! TOTALLY WORTH THE DRIVE!"
