"Update: 3/5/2024 Dr. Edgar has passed away and the new doctor is very pleasant but unfortunately the receptionist is still there and is still rude! The practice will flourish once she is removed from the practice. The dental assistants are very kind and knowledgeable. The receptionist is the most unprofessional and unpleasant person I’ve met in all of my life. I feel sorry for her coworkers that have to work with her(receptionist) on a daily basis. I do not recommend any services there to anyone until Jill (receptionist) is fired or retired."
"I’ve never had an unpleasant experience at a medical providers office until I began bringing my child to Dr. Edgar’s office. Ms. Jill has been very rude from the start. It’s just been tolerated since the office is near my home. I would not be writing this review if I didn’t feel corrective action needs to be taken. Ms. Jill called about missing an appointment. I immediately apologize because I forgot to cancel. I understand missing appointments impact others including the provider. I should have been more responsible to cancel the appointment in a timely manner. However, I should not have been spoken to as if the world was going to end because of a missed appointment. I recommend Ms. Jill, office manager, take classes on customer service and patient care. When she called about the missed appointment, I apologized profusely. She told me, “You should have called last week when we sent you the reminder.” I inform her I did not receive the message until yesterday and I forgot to call before they closed. She said, “No, our system says a reminder was delivered last week. We don’t reschedule appointments the day before.” I verbalized understanding and told her I did not receive the reminder last week; I received it yesterday. She continued to scrutinize me for not calling last week to cancel. At this point, I became frustrated because all I wanted to do is reschedule the appointment. I even informed her that I would pay the missed appointment fee. She didn’t hear it and proceeded to tell me what I should have done. The conversation went nowhere and ended with her hanging up on me. I called back 5 times. I even had a friend call and she didn’t answer. I waited 6 minutes and called back; she answered. I asked for a referral to a new orthodontist; she told me, “go back to the person that referred you here.” I said Thank you and you have a great day! I don’t know if Ms. Jill is going through something. If she is, I pray it gets better."
"The front desk clerk at this clinic is so rude. They speak to patients like they are above them because so many are using medicaid. To move him you would have to have his braces removed and started all over and no parent wants to put their child through that. She questions patients with the third degree like she is the owner and she only works there at the desk. Dr.Edgar is so sweet but he needs to retrain some of his staff on manners and why they have a job because of us! (UPDATE) 04/22/21if you have medicaid you do not have to put up with these people! Call your insurer and find a dental clinic in network with your baby insurance! I did and I'm so thankful!! They need YOUR MONEY AND INSURANCE to stay employed!"
"This place the entire time we have been there has been RUDE!!!! The staff at front desk is awful and if u get Medicaid they treat you like a charity case and talk to you as if you are nothing. My 18 year had been there since he was 16-17 and soon as his Medicaid turned off they stop trying to schedule him. I told them I could pay it didn’t matter, they would come up with different reason why Medicaid is not paying.... I’m like omg duhhhh... so they was saying he has to transfer dentist but no one will want to mess with someone else work... I just politely told them take them off... I have had enough. I hate this place with a passion. I wouldn’t even take my enemy there. That staff will make you say some things that you didn’t know you could say‼️"
"I started taking my son to Dr.Edgar office in 2019. The orthodontist office was very clean. Dr. Edgar William is a very nice and understanding orthodontist. Dr. Edgar Williams explains thorough information about what is going on with your child teeth. It is fully staffed you don't wait a long time for your child visit. I encountered a rude and not professional-like attitude with the Orthodontist manager. An older white woman that has an attitude problem. She doesn't have patient communication skills. She talked to me any kind of way with her attitude, I didn't feel welcome at all when it came to talking with her it was almost like she was racist. I don't feel a person should treat people like this. Professional health care workers attend school on how to work in a health care environment and this include dealing with communicating with your patients or with a patient's parents. I am going to find out how to report the orthodontist manager because she needs to be fired."
