"The fact that this is called Greek food blows my mind! Okay...the food is on a pita, but I had to pick out three pieces of chicken because of how salty they had tasted! Greek food is usually fresh, and sometimes on the more unfavorable side, so I would not recommend this place if you are wanting authentic Greek food."

"This place is unassuming from the street, but the food and experience will knock your socks off. The salad with Gyro meat is fantastic. The crunchy edges on the meat are the best! I loved it with the vinaigrette and feta dressings. The grilled pita was so simple but full of flavor. We chose it with feta and I would get it that way again. The picnic tables on the deck outside were the perfect location to enjoy the amazing weather of the day, but they even open the garage doors for the inside, so you couldn't go wrong with any seat there. And if you love to take home plastic cups, their cups are giant and a bright yellow. The kind you want to use over and over again. This will be a top choice whenever I am in Oxford."

"A couple of coworkers and I were in town for work for a few days, and Volta Taverna was our third meal during our time in Oxford. We went for lunch on day 2, and everything was great. The person that sat us was polite, the waitress was polite and attentive and informative regardingmenu items, and the food was all around good."

"Great good. The mixed appetizer of pimento cheese and hummus is a must! The frozen margarita and mojitos are great. The three items (Greek salad with chicken, club pita, lamb and steak pita) we ordered were good. Pretty nice serving size since we had leftovers!"
