Marie Dorian Park

"I found this place on Google maps and decided to check it out. I hadn't heard of Marie Dorian until recently and found her story to be amazing. Yet another prominent woman in history that has been overlooked by the mainstream. The park is small but beautiful and a great place for a picnic. There's a nice stairway that leads to memorial on the hill that's very cool. Definitely worth the time to check out for yourself."

"This park is beautiful. The maintenance people keep the park area clean and restrooms are usually well stocked with toilet paper. They truly keep it clean and maintained very well. There is a path down to the river, but it isn't maintained and is rough...be sure to use your hands also to help keep you safe. Also once you are on the path there is "junk" all over the place. Unfortunately some people either weren't taught proper respect for the outdoors or they just don't care. If you can get past that rudeness, then you can relax and enjoy the rest of the beauty. The river is cold, but we'll worth jumping in if you can."

"I haven't been to this park in over 20 years. I took the family just thus last week. They seem to be fixing it up. Starting to look nice out that way. They still need to cover up some more graffiti but other than that seems like a great place."
