"Rainy and muddy but expected for January. Trails were still in relatively good shape. Beautiful hike and the sounds of the amount of rushing water was just what I needed."
"It is a great hike, but never advised that the trail has a lot of up and downs. I saw people of every age group on the trails. Some were doing better than others. You can access the falls fairly easily from the road with parking available at the top."
"This is a great waterfall that is a tiered, the water drops at 119 feet. The waterfall is fullest in the spring time, there is a steep stone age stairwell to the top of the waterfall, if you want to look down on the water falling down; the view is beautiful from the top too."
"There are few places in Oregon as stunning as this one. We had a picnic lunch, on the second terrace of Royal Terrace falls. What an amazing experience! Please go visit! Please make sure to leave no trace, pick up your litter, and please DO NOT PICK TRILLIUM, THEY TAKE 7 YEARS TO GROW BACK."
"Beautiful place!! About 1 1/2 from Portland ( might be a few minutes more) It is free I went about 9:30 in the morning and there were just a couple of cars but in my way out (about 11) saw lots of family getting there. Its not a difficult hike. Also next to it is MAJESTIC FALLS. You literally cross the street and hike your way up. Lots of stairs. But lots of nice spots to sit and relax"
