"I've had dozens of good memories here with friends, my daughter, and with just my dog(s). Watch out for poison oak and stinging nettle. The mushroom is always a must stop, and I typically see something interesting taking off from the airport. It's a great place to have a picnic too. 19FEB2024: After regular visits to this park since 2001, always picking up the garbage that I see, I have noticed a big increase in litter from 2023-2024.. Beer cans thrown into the woods, vape cartridges everywhere, tagging on the signs and mushroom. Today I noticed that someone climbed a tree to knock down a large bear bread conk that was finally getting its size these last few years. I also found a discarded human specimen sample from the hospital. Disgusting people. Some guy pulls into the parking lot as I'm hauling out garbage, and says "they should clear all this out and put in some picnic tables".. If looks could kill. Won't be long and we will have to pay to visit, if we are allowed to at all. Also, what's with the one way signs? Who's idea was that? On a wide walking nature trail?? Who paid for this!? ..Maybe that money/effort could go into restoring the waterway that leads into this park? A yearly cleanup crew maybe? Some trash cans? I should be careful of what I wish for... They'll just place boulders at the entrance, at our expense."
"Neat park. Nice to walk around and explore. I just wanted to visit the Mushroom house so I stopped as I passed through town. Short walk inside the park to see it. Very cute. Some graffiti inside it but luckily the outside isn't vandalized. Makes for a nice photo opp."
"Pleasantly surprised with a beautiful walk through this lush and wooded park. It was a lot bigger and better than I expected for a direct neighbor of the airport."
