Reviews
"It's pretty spectacular HOWEVER you can not get to the punch bowl or the cool rock structures (legally/ethically/respectfully) as seen in a lot of the pics. There is a beach you can get down to that is pretty cool but not places like the rocks."
"We made our 2nd stop here this past September, our first was in June 2021. Definitely worth the stop for a second look. Absolutely beautiful and spectacular! Spotted some whales and their spouts a bit offshore to the north. Don’t miss it if you’re in the area."
"Deep sea on one side and a paradise for surfers on the other. You will come back with memories of huge panoramic views around."
"The Devil's Punchbowl is an incredible place. We were able to park near the top but space is limited and anything larger than a truck would have a hard time turning around or parking. More parking is below the hill on C Ave. There are no fees to visit. We were able to see a couple whales breaking the surface while walking along the path. The wind was powerful but that's expected when you are on top of the cliff. There is also beach access on either side of the natural area and both are within walking distance. Check the tide tables to experience different views. High tide will bring unique water surge into the punchbowl. Low tide will allow exploration of the caves below. After our walk through we stopped at a small ice cream shop nearby. Perfect family adventure."
"This was our favorite place to visit while in Newport! We visited twice. Try to visit during low tide if you can. It is a tough hike down (part of the path at the bottom to the beach was washed away in the last year). Be careful while hiking along the rocks on the beach to avoid stepping on any animals. The rocks are very slippery in some spots. It was awesome to see live star fish and sea anemones in their native habitats inside the Punch Bowl. We returned during high tide to show to the kids how full of water it got and to illustrate why it is so important to be aware of the tides while hiking and exploring by the ocean."
