"Absolutely amazing gem. Not a Lotta people like there are at George Roger's park, and way more beach!"
"Great spot for a hike of of Mary S Young Park. Very popular, particularly with boaters, in the summer months, not so crowded in off season. The bridge connecting it to the mainland is seasonal, may be closed in winter and spring due to Water Levels - check with City of West Linn Parks & Rec for status"
"My grandkids are 5 and 7 and very active, but this island wore them out. They wanted me to carry them back to the car. The rocks are fun to climb at the bottom of Mary S. Young park. There is an off-leash area down by the river and there were so many dogs down there on this day. My pup loves it here."
"Good spot to launch if you arrive very early in the morning. Very limited parking. I caught a salmon once about 30 yards from the launch. Once the wakeboarding crowd shows up on the afternoon it turns into doucheville. They do not respect the no wake boundary, play loud music and get into fights."
"I hiked to the longer end of this "V"-shaped island. There's no smooth trail along the bank so watch your footing as you'll step on scattered rocks. There are a lot of Himalayan blackberries on the island; they were sweet as I had a few handful. Plz see pic. Some people fished, swam, and hiked. On the water, the well-to-do scooted around on jet skis which made it hard to enjoy the quiet tranquility."
