"Amazing state park with a sweet park host. The place is beautiful and has a very long trail that’s next to a river. The park facilities are very clean and regularly maintained."
"One of our favorite campgrounds! Really chill place tucked back in the hills north of Tillamook. The day use area is great for the whole family with nice shallow parts for the little kids and a deeper swimming hole for more experienced swimmers. I recommend laying down in the shallow rapids with a couple "cold beverages" for maximum relaxation."
"It was a nice quiet campground with a big park in the middle. Park had a couple play structures, swinger, basketball half court, sand box and large grassy area. The river was nice with places to wade and swim. The trails down were narrow and some were steep. The sites were large and well maintained. I like more privacy with trees between sites when camping than here. Some sites had no trees so shade could be hard to find. All in all, we would stay here again but would be selective on a site."
"We’ve been coming here for 30+ years. We always love our trips. We’ve had issues in the past with Camp Hosts but the last two years with Ronni and Tim have been amazing. I will be sad to see them go at the end of the season. They have a lot on their plate with all of the restrictions but are handling everything so well. They are super friendly and truly made our experience this year wonderful."
"The rates for the campground have increased by a fair bit and it is pretty expensive for dry camping. That said the campground is well maintained and very pretty. The river is gorgeous and the experience was top notch. Fires are allowed in the pits only, but they're big so thats not a problem. The on-site staff are a bit rough around the edges but they have a lot to deal with so we tried to cut them some slack. Clean out your fire pit and campsite when you leave!"
