"This is the only wildlife rehabilitation facility for native, migratory birds (except raptors), mammals, and reptiles between Eugene and Portland. They have an excellent wildlife vet on staff and have responsible practices. Please donate to them if you can. They care immensely, but cannot always heal every injured animal or find the time/manpower to update people on individual cases. Know that they are doing their best to help each patient in care return to a wild life worth living."
"Called them because a street cat brought an injured bird to the back door. I took in the bird but he needed a little more treatment then I could give it. This place asked me to bring it in and they would even wait a little after closing since I was an hour away in Eugene. They were very kind and friendly. They work by donations so please be kind and help them when you bring an injured bird."
"Highly recommend scheduling a tour or wildlife encounter! On our “wildlife encounter tour,” we got to meet the amazing birds of prey (including getting face to face with a lovely little snow white barn owl) this organization is taking care of. I learned so much and was mesmerized by the birds. The Chimintini Wildlife Center is doing amazing work for all sorts of species of wild animals in the area, and by booking a tour you’re not only signing up for an awesome experience and expanding your knowledge of these critical birds, but you’re supporting the center’s work caring for these birds and many more species that may come into the center. All the birds taken care of here are injured or otherwise wouldn’t be able to survive in the wild, so the center uses them for educational tours."
"Excellent raptor care happening here - not open to the public, but scheduled tours are available by request."
