"Dr. Kara treated me for chronic back pain. The pain started out mild but over the course of a year, it got considerably worse. Treatment from my PCP and chiropractor did not help the pain. By the time I saw Dr. Kara, i could barely bend down to tie my shoes and my activity was becoming very limited. She suspected that it was due to inflammation, possibly caused by certain foods I was eating. She ordered lab work to rule this out. Sure enough, the lab results indicated that yeast (bakers and brewers) and mushrooms were the main culprit causing inflammation. I immediately stopped eating both, reading labels and being careful when eating out. Within 2-3 weeks my back pain disappeared. I resumed exercising and outdoor activities, including riding 40 miles in NY's 5 Boro Bike Tour in 2019. Dr. Kara has been a great resource in navigating my healthy plan."
"Dr Kara knows her stuff. My MD stated there was nothing he could do about my acid reflux without taking meds and a chronic 'virus' (on and off over 3-years). I no longer have acid reflux and I do not take meds - meds that I discovered had side effects. Dr Kara figured out my 'virus' was a low grade tooth infection - easily corrected by my dentist and a prescription from Dr. Kara.
