"Be aware—we needed two parts replaced in our propane furnace. We received a proposal for $1,200. We thought that included the parts. However, the parts were under warranty. The only thing we needed to pay for was the labor. The service provider was here about ONE hour and charged us over $1,200!!!!! I called to talk to someone about it and a man told me that was the correct bill and there was nothing that could be done about it. So, be very careful with their proposals and fully understand when something is under warranty, they will charge you over a thousand dollars an hour to replace."

"***updated at bottom*** Once they have your $10,000 they aren’t concerned with making sure the job was finished correctly. We’ve used Jacob’s in the past and had a fine experience so we decided to go with them again (even though they were more expensive than another bid) for a new AC install and replacing an old furnace. They installed both units in June 2023 and we do have heating and cooling, HOWEVER, they didn’t have the correct size of a vent cover for the bottom of the furnace so they only screwed two screws down and the bottom is ajar by two inches. I don’t want any vermin making their way into our heating system. I had to make several calls and it was September when they were finally able to get someone to come back out and take a look. Bob confirmed that they did need to replace the vent cover but he never came back. It’s November 2023 now. I’ve called and left several messages over these months with their retro fit coordinator Michelle. She’s the only one you’re allowed to talk to on these matters, if you try any other department they are quick to tell you they can’t help you… As I was writing this, Molly, filling in for Michelle in retro fit called me and said she will call me back tomorrow after she talks to Bob to figure out what my situation needs and when they can fix it. I’m still going to post this review and edit when we get this resolved. ***Update*** They did call me and scheduled for Friday 8-8:30 arrive time. The tech was here on time and they installed a vent cover that fits. Success! Thank you, Jacobs. I wish it hadn’t taken multiple phone calls, multiple visits and 5 months but you got it done."

"Had an AC that leaked into my garage but figured it was also time to get my furnace checked out. Randy, the technician came out. He spent time cleaning both the AC and furnace. He redid the plumbing for the AC condensation and added a clean out so it could be easily cleared if it gets clogged in the future. He also advised how I could put a filter into my defunct Honeywell air cleaner to take more particles out of the air. On top of it, he had time to inspect and clean my 30 year old gas fireplace. It’s never been cleaned. The glass front was clouded from years of use. It now looks brand new. Can’t believe the time, advice, and careful attention to detail that we received today. Recommend Jacob’s and their technician, Randy, highly."
