About the Newberg Canine Rehab Center
Newberg Canine Rehab Center is a veterinary care institution located at 2401 East Hancock Street in Newberg, Oregon, United States. Our center specializes in hydrotherapy for dogs, using the buoyancy of water to help them walk with a more normal gait and reduce stress on their joints. Dogs of all sizes and physical levels can benefit from hydrotherapy, whether they are recovering from an injury or surgery, have arthritis, or just need more physical exercise.
In addition to hydrotherapy, we offer Laser Therapy, PEMF Therapy, Shockwave Therapy, and Therapeutic Ultrasound to treat various pain and musculoskeletal conditions in dogs. Our founder, Michelle, has a degree in Animal Physiology & Biology and has been a Certified Veterinary Technician since 1984. She opened Newberg Canine Rehab in 2009 after recognizing the need for quality animal physical therapy.
Melissa, another member of our team, practices alternative medicine and treats animals with chiropractic, acupuncture, and herbal formulas. Dr. Shaver, who also shows Arabians and Half Arabians in Reining and Western Pleasure, is passionate about providing exceptional care to animals.
At Newberg Canine Rehab Center, we offer customized rehab packages that may include hydrotherapy, physical therapy modalities, and more. We also provide physical evaluations, core strengthening classes, and conditioning classes for dogs. Prior to boarding, dogs must undergo an evaluation daycare stay at our center.
Join us at Newberg Canine Rehab Center for top-quality care and rehabilitation services for your beloved canine companion.

Reviews of Newberg Canine Rehab Center
"Michelle and her staff are friendly, knowledgeable and truly care for the health of their K9 clients. The physical therapy my dog is receiving is having a positive affect on him and I'm able to see the benefits. If you have a k9 or feline family member with mobility issues I highly recommend giving Newberg Canine Rehabilitation a call."
"I can't even began to tell you how grateful I am to Michelle... 6 months ago my pup, Scout, severed her CCL. I was freaking out! She's my Veteran support dog. Needless to say, she's my best friend! I called around to every Vet. All of them were a minimum of 3 months out with an $8,000 bill. I called Michelle, I left a frantic message. Having never met me, she contacted a Dr. Friend of hers! He was able to get, Scout, in the very next day, for significantly less I might add! After scouts recovery time, Michelle started her physical therapy.. After 10 week, Scout, is back to her old self... And I couldn't be happier. The environment there, is awesome. Super welcoming, and caring of your pup! It was actually kind of a bummer when her therapy was over. I really enjoyed the experience... Michelle and her team, are AWESOME!!!"
"We are so lucky to have this facility as a local resource, Michelle has helped two of my dogs and changed their lives. She worked with my Great Dane that was older and starting to have issues with his stability and strength in his back end and with a European Doberman that we had to amputate one of his hind legs. These were both slow processes, but without the water therapy, my dogs would have not had the quality of life that they did. Michelle is so kind, and her love for the animals shines every time I see her."
"Mid Oct 2018 my 11 year old Doxie mix injured her back from jumping off the couch. She could barely walk. We started hydrotherapy 2x a week and saw an immediate improvement after her first 'dip'. Then we started laser therapy before her swims. Today we started acupuncture. With all of their hard work and dedication Jayne is now able to walk and with each session continuing improve, she is excited about every visit. We also love seeing Jack & Jill, the office cats/managers."
"When our Boerboel sustained an injury, leaving him unable to walk on his left front leg, keeping him in a cast for two weeks, as our vet suggested, seemed like the wrong thing to do. Atrophy would set in and could cause further damage. We had never experienced this kind of thing before. Thankfully, my sister suggested rehab and I immediately thought of Newberg Canine Rehab. The experience has been life changing for us. Not only is our dog on the mend, but we learned so much from Michelle and Matt about dog anatomy. Baza loves his treatments as well. He bounds into their clinic, much more robust than he should, given his injury. He is a few weeks from complete healing and we couldn't be more pleased. I highly recommend Newberg Canine Rehab to anyone who loves their dog like we do. We are so grateful that we now have a relationship with them."
