NHC Mobile Medical is a health institution located at 7320 Southwest Hunziker Street in Portland, Oregon, United States. The institution has recently acquired a new mobile medical van to reach at-risk patients in the community. This initiative aims to overcome barriers such as lack of transportation, inability to take time off work, and difficulty in accessing care, especially for historically marginalized populations. The new van, generously provided by the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), will enable NHC to deliver medical care services to patients across the community, particularly those with underlying health conditions putting them at higher risk for COVID-19. The mobile van will also allow for increased testing and vaccination efforts during the pandemic. Maribel Renteria, manager of NHC's Canby Medical Clinic, has led COVID-19 vaccine outreach efforts to seasonal and migrant workers in the area, vaccinating an estimated 220 individuals at separate outreaches. The new mobile van will expand NHC's outreach efforts to reach more migrant workers and provide healthcare services to a wider geographic area. The institution is grateful to OHA for providing this valuable resource to the community. NHC Mobile Medical receives HHS funding and has Federal Public Health Services (PHS) deemed status for certain health-related claims.
