"My property manager hired this company to repair a garage door in Portland on a rental property. When I visited the property much later the garage door would not stay open to the full height of the garage opening--the sectional door hung 8" below the door header. This seems to me like a glaring installation deficiency. Long story short is that getting the door to open to proper height and stay there without blocking it in place required a $184. service call, for work that should have been done right in the first place. "I set up a repair appointment with D&L garage doors. The technician was there on time. He asked me to push the button for the garage door to verify it didn’t work. He said it needed to be replaced. He then charged me a $95 dollar service fee without even stepping foot in my garage or testing the garage door himself. He was on site less than three minutes. I understand why companies charge fees for showing up but the assumption is they don’t show up solely to collect the fee. I wasn’t expecting him to do much but I was expecting something. I would’ve felt a lot better if he had ran any kind of quick test, explained what he thought may have caused it to fail, or done anything more than get out of his truck and demand payment. I will not be using this company for anything in the future."

He answered honestly all my questions and was a good listener. He was knowledgeable about what was needed and did not stand around and waste any time.
