"working with kevin was frustrating and disappointing on several levels. I signed up for a package that supposedly included regular consults and advising with him, but those sessions weren't scheduled unless I asked for them and when he did meet with me, he had no plan or strategy in the sessions to actually assist me as a young, small business owner with a business that was taking off quickly. he made significant mistakes in my first year with him, failing to understand the growth trajectory of my business. after reassuring me that he would prepare me in the second year, he didn't prepare me at all. I received no actual advising from him and many times he gave me contradictory information and almost always seemed annoyed that I had questions. after two years of that, he passively fired me as a client without any conversation or explanation in november. I asked to stay on to finish my taxes because it was too late to find someone else to work with, he said fine and then proceeded to not communicate at all with me until I got an email notice that he had filed an extension. when I asked why, he just said he was backed up with all his new clients demands. I have a new accountant now who's great - they take the time to talk to me like an actual human being, extending consideration for the fact that I am a skilled professional in my field and not a tax advisor or bookkeeper, so I need basic information and assistance to understand my finances. they're happy to do that, not annoyed at all, and they seem to think that that should be part of the service they offer! it's so nice to be treated with decency and respect and to be working with someone who is accountable, thorough, and has taken the time to inform themselves about the details of my business. I wish I had quit with mosaic after my first year. it was not only a waste of the money I spent for services I didn't get from him, but a significant loss in taxes I could have saved with proper advising and without his mishandling of them. kelsey and lindsy in his office are very polite and quick to respond on email and the only positive things I have to say about mosaic is about them. I highly recommend NOT working with kevin."
