"Our project was not a large one for Brooke and Matt, but it was huge to us. We purchased a 900 square-foot, 2BR condo, and North Shore did a complete demolition and remodel for us. They did flooring, a brand new kitchen and bathroom, tile work, painting, electrical, plumbing, and several custom carpentry projects, including a large banquette facing the ocean. Everything was first class. Brooke is a great communicator – she responded to every email promptly and thoroughly, and we always felt listened to and taken care of. When questions arose, we would get an email or a call, asking us how we wanted things done. Brooke and Matt would meet with us at their office or at our condo to go over details. Matt is an artist at what he does, and an absolute perfectionist. When our shower tile was halfway complete, Matt was not satisfied with how it was turning out. He had the subcontractor take the tile off and start over, and the end result is beautiful. Were there hiccups? Of course, every project has them. But the bottom line is how those challenges, surprises, and changes are handled. We always felt in the loop, and all the challenges were met with quality (and sometimes very creative) solutions. Every detail of our new place is just to our liking – we could not be more pleased. You might be able to find cheaper contractors out there, but Matt and Brooke will treat you like old friends, and will do the job as if you are family."

"We had used Northshore for another remodel, so decided to use them again without getting other bids. Since the house was being lived in we asked if care would be taken to protect the furniture, and was given assurances it would be. When we returned to the job site from our home out of state, we found furniture and flooring had not been protected. We went to Home Depot and bought plastic to put over flooring, furniture, door opening...anywhere we needed to in order to keep the construction dust out. Matt has an excellent tile guy, and we would highly recommend him as he does beautiful work. But the carpentry end of things were not done well, and took a long time. There was a crown molding that had been installed incorrectly, not to diagram, and had to be re-ordered as it had been cut. The wrong color was ordered by Matt, and although Matt promised to install it himself so it was correct, he had one of the guys do it, and it did not match, and was installed on top of a piece of additional trim that looked completely out of place. We like Matt, but when things go wrong, he wants to blame other people, and if he isn't happy with what he charges, at the end of the job you'll hear about it."

Their fees are very fair. And they do great work. Deborah, who is in the office, is a pleasure to work with. Brian is the carpenter we've had the most contact with, and he's fantastic. "We had North Shore Homes remodel the bathroom off our master bedroom, they replaced our walk in shower with a beautiful tile shower, it looks very high end, they also replaced the existing lighting and fixtures, it looks beautiful. I highly recommend North Shore Homes, Matt English was great in giving us advice. His work is total perfection, he also replaced the existing fan with a much quieter and more powerful one. Also painted the room, it looks better than we ever envisioned. We will definitely have North Shore Homes do more work for us. They also did some work on our back deck and various other needed improvements. They are the best and very reliable which can pose a problem here at the beach."
