"I brought a diamond ring in to be fixed. The ring itself, has a design that looks like it's three flowers, all in diamonds. I lost a diamond. I spent a lot of money on this ring, as the ring itself is over two karats of high quality diamonds and it's Platinum. I would expect a jewelry store of this size to have in store people who could fix it. But no, they had to send it out. I originally got this ring in downtown LA at the jewelry district. When Fred Meyers Jewelers contacted me, they said that I needed to replace 16 prongs and that because the diamond was such high quality it would cost $2,500 to fix. I laughed and said give me back my ring. Now I'm in Los Angeles, I went back to the place where I got my ring. The jeweler called me over and let me look through his big bright magnifying glass, just to see that there's nothing wrong with the prongs. And all they needed to do was replace the high quality diamond. Which they did for free since I bought the ring there. How dare Fred Meyers Jewelers lie to me. Needless to say, stay away from this baloney of a store. You will not get the quality diamonds nor will you get the quality price."
