"I absolutely love this gym. It is clean, accessible, and has a friendly atmosphere. The membership price is affordable and the gym has many resources, All of the staff are extremely friendly. Going to Rachel's Tuesday/Thursday morning Cycle Rhythm class has been the highlight of my week for the last few months. Rachel is extremely kind, motivating, and positive. I love her classes! I am very bummed that I can't go to her classes now that I am starting my 8-5 job this week. Please give her more time slots! My only complaint about this gym is that their app is not user friendly and is hard to navigate. I also wish they had some evening classes available for those who work during the day. All in all, I have had a great experience."
"Love this place the new facility is so nice. The gym is very nice. Good selection of weights. Mostly, my kids and I love the pool. The little splash pad is great, and they love swimming. Hours are a big improvement from the last facility."
"Sadly disappointed with a couple things at the new Y. First, the cleanliness in the shower/locker rooms. I understand this facility is BUSY but it’s brand new and the showers do not reflect that. With how high the monthly prices are (which is another reason I knocked off a star) and how busy this place is, you’d think the showers would be cleaned more than once a day??? God forbid you work out any later than 5 PM and those showers look like all of Eugene and their pets have come through for a shower, twice! Also, the scanning system to get into the gym is a nightmare. They want you to use the app to scan in but you have to put your phone on the floor or move it around back and forth for the scanner to work, all while 10 people behind you are waiting to scan in too. Then if you ask for a physical scan card they’re all out and the counter staff are always busy so they can’t easily check you in when the scanner isn’t working (which is always). Also, I saw there are age restrictions for the gym area but the last couple times we’ve gone, the gym has been busy and lots of kids roaming and hogging up machines just to play/mess around. Again, with how much money they’re wanting to charge, it just seems like there are a lot of inconveniences that are very well avoidable to make the environment feel worth the money but I’m starting to feel ill have to go back to cheaper gym options in Eugene that at a minimum are able to keep locker rooms clean and prioritize keeping machines open to those actually wanting to workout. Not to mention, they’re charging $70 a month for a single person membership and you have to pay extra for all the cool new classes and even massage chairs! That price is SO high compared to other gyms in Eugene and yet you STILL don’t have access to all they offer, they gotta up charge you again. I was willing to pay these higher prices because I knew it was a new facility and they were going to have lots of cool new things to offer but now that I know (almost) everything costs extra and the new facility isn’t even being kept clean…doesn’t seem worth it sadly."
"The facility is lovely and clean and does not smell - unlike every other gym I've been in. I'm still in the process of getting to know the place. Everyone has been very nice and helpful, although they are still getting organized, which is understandable. The main issue I have is that the fitness class descriptions online don't describe (with few exceptions) who the class is most suitable for - the ultra fit, beginners, seniors, etc. Also for the pools, the online schedule is a list of which pools are open for which activities on a specific day at a specific hour. This is time consuming to use to plan. It would be much better if they had a calendar format available online which showed a consistent schedule by day for each pool, so we could plan at a glance. Or at least use a format for the pool schedule similar to that of Eugene Parks and Rec."
