About the Business
Men's Yoga Corvallis is a gym focused on exploring centuries-old practices and the art of expression through yoga. Located at 6735 Southwest Country Club Drive in Corvallis, Oregon, United States, the institution offers classes for men of all ages and fitness levels.
After a hiatus, Men's Yoga Corvallis has restarted classes with Chair Yoga for Men on Sundays from 4-5pm and Men's Yoga on Thursdays from 5:30-6:30pm. For those new to yoga, an Intro to Men's Yoga series is offered in January to help beginners learn the postures, routines, and use of props like chairs or blocks.
Classes are held at the Willamette Wellness Center/Fitness Over Fifty, and no membership is required. The cost for classes ranges from $8 per class with a multi-class pass to $20 for the Intro to Men's Yoga series. Loose, comfortable clothing is recommended for yoga practice, along with a yoga mat (loaners available) and optional props like blocks and chairs.
Men's Chair Yoga is a gentle class suitable for all levels, while the more active Men's Yoga class offers a balance of physical challenge and relaxation. Zoom classes are also offered for those unable to attend in person, with a focus on maintaining a sense of community and connection during the pandemic.
Overall, Men's Yoga Corvallis aims to provide a welcoming and inclusive space for men to explore and benefit from the practice of yoga, regardless of their experience level or fitness goals.

"I found a flyer for Andre's Men's Yoga class at the donut shop in Philomath. How's that for irony? As a past Crossfit member (and supporter), I found great value of stretching, mindfulness and community. I have missed those attributes and been passively searching for a replacement program. I will admit to being intimidated by my preconceived notion of "yoga" and who does yoga. But with maturity comes more willingness to try new things and care less about my preconceived notions. I attended my first class with Andre last June. I instantly found value for my body and mind. And the bad jokes and good natured group were added value. I found myself looking forward to Monday evening's with Andre and the men in this class. I have since moved from the area and spent several months searching for a similar comfortable place. I have found a yoga class for all skills where I am typically the only man. Had I not been introduced to yoga by Andre, I doubt I would have tried and stuck with yoga at all. If you are looking for something to help keep your body moving, an hour a week to let your mind rest and be with men interested in the same, I recommend Andre's class. I attend when I am in the area and miss this in my life."
"This place has been a major factor in my well being. The class is small and there is a lot personal attention. The price is very modest, but even if double would be a deal. There is a sense of community and a lot of humor. What’s not to like??"
"I have been attending the men's yoga class for over a year and a half and the morning chair yoga class for over six months. Andre creates an inviting and supportive atmosphere for men looking to stretch themselves safely, recover or extend flexibility, and learn mindfulness. Andre respects the limits of aging bodies while promoting fitness, strength, and confidence-building. The sessions are non-threatening to beginners or those returning after a long absence, and I particularly enjoy the repartee among participants. Andre's humor is often a work-in-progress, but nevertheless adds positive energy to the sessions. I highly recommend giving it a try."
