"Back many many moons ago when I was just a tween punk kid, I rode horses and took lessons that my Dad struggled to pay for on a postal workers salary, but he made it happen. I lost my Dad a few months ago and I decided to honor him by getting back in the saddle. I was looking for something specific, though, I wasn’t looking for competitive hunter jumper programs from my youth, I was looking for pure heart and soul bonding and compassion between a horse and rider, and I have found that here. Leticia and her crew have created this beautiful space full of compassion and loving energy and I am SO HAPPY I found them. Thank you!"
"The lessons at Oregon Horsemanship are about so much more than learning to ride. It's been fun watching my daughter's knowledge and confidence grow. She really enjoys lessons with Alyssa, and Letitia and her staff are welcoming to humans and passionate about horses."
"I looked all over the place for the right fit, and Oregon Horsemanship wins. The owner (Letitia) and barn manager (Alyssa) both teach classes, so you almost always get the same teacher each time. They are consistent and regiments, but always kind and gentle. The kids learn all about horses, tack, riding techniques, barn hygiene and so much more. This isn't a competitive environment and they aren't training champion barrel racers, rather they are teaching people how to connect with horses and CARE for these animals. Yes, you'll learn how to ride, and ride with confidence, but more even- this barn brings a holistic experience that teaches discipline, grace, kindness to animals, and a little hard work mixed in (disguised as fun). My 4-year-old even LIKES cleaning horse stalls! I'm grateful to be a part of this barn family."
"Oregon Horsemanship is a fun, horse loving, and beautiful place to learn how to ride horses. They teach many thing including your riding foundation and how to properly work with horses. They also teach showmanship, cowboy dressage, cart driving, and and other english and western riding disciplines. Their horses are so gentle and beautiful and well taken care of they even take on horses that have been in rough conditions. This is the place I learned how to ride at and I will never forget all the friends I made and how kind all of the people are. I am now a hunter jumper, jumping 2 feet and 6 inches at another barn. I do still visit once a week to help out and say hi to the horses. I will never forget who made me who I am now and how made passion for horses came to be."
"Wow! What a wonderful experience we had with Letitia at Oregon Horsemanship. The love and tenderness that she treated her horse family was so endearing and admirable. She made my young daughters feel confident with the new experience of being near, and caring for, such large animals. My girls had the most amazing time, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a high quality and caring horse experience. Thank you Letitia!"
