"I've seen Hans several times for physical therapy on my neck, shoulders and back, oh and also knees! He is amazing! He never makes me feel guilty for not doing as many exercises as I should, and he always acknowledges that when you're in pain all the time, and working, and doing life, it's hard to get home and start exercising. He says, you're not ready, and puts you on the heating pad and massages the tightness away. He has non-judgementally helped me to quit smoking and at least do mild exercise or safely stretch the worst muscles in a way that will help heal and not exacerbate the chronic pain. He simply says, I really think this is going to help you feel better.... and let's me take it from there. It's my responsibility to do what I can to minimize the pain from the multiple injuries over my 50+years. "Hans is a great Physical Therapist. I had whiplash from a skiing accident, where I actually landed dead center on my head. I was coming down a steep hill in deep snow. Fortunately I wasn't going fast, I had a helmet on, and the powder snow was very soft. Still, I sustained what my primary care doctor determined to be both a concussion and whiplash. The concussion left me a little bit out of it for maybe a week, but the whiplash left my neck in a lot of pain for a lot longer. Hans was able to zero in on muscles causing the problem, and did hands-on therapy with massage geared towards the problem, and gave me a list of exercises to do daily. He also showed me a simple meditation technique to zero in on the pain and help the throbbing go away. So not only is Hans an experienced Physical Therapist, but also very efficient, accurate at diagnosis, and very empathetic. He will spend a full hour with you one-on-one. His office, Oswego Physical Therapy Clinic, is on 5th St. in Lake Oswego, with parking right outside. It's very relaxing. I highly recommmend seeing him for any Physical Therapy issues, particularly headache, neck, and upper back."
