Reviews
"An excellent massage therapist! Relaxing and gentle when I just need to manage stress and skilled when targeted for injury and pain management. Maria uses oil and laundry detergent that do not bother my very sensitive skin and provides a warm towel at the end of session. Comfortable, relaxing atmosphere."
"I highly recommend Maria as a LMT. She is personable, knowledgeable and professional. She takes time to understand my body issues and solve them. Thank you Maria. Lee"
"I recommend Maria every time I meet someone who has a physical injury. She has a real understanding of the body and has successfully helped me and friends of mine overcome injuries that impeded movement and quality of life. It's an easy sell. I show them how high I could lift my arm before (not at all) and then I lift my arm waaaay over my head :-)"
"Maria takes time to hear what is going on with your body and what you want to achieve as results. I was very happy that she would put together a 60 min and 30 min session together for me. A little tender in spots the next day but with some great results. Going again in 3 wks."
"I am so thankful to have found Maria Blair. Here are just some reasons why: * I have experience serious pain for about 5 years now. She validated what I have experienced, which shifted the paradigm of how I think about my pain. Pain doesn't just happen physically, it happens emotionally as well, and she works to address the emotional part, too. *She has helped me learn about how my body works, and has given me educational resources so I can go dig in further. *The experience isnt "cookie cutter". I have never felt rushed, and she always gives me time to ask alllllll my questions. She has never given me papers that list out certain exercises or conditions...not that those things are not helpful. But they have always left me frustrated when I follow those instructions, yet my body wont conform to what the paper instructions say. *She is very focused on education; helping the individual understand concepts--but also to understand that each body works differently. *You can tell, just talking with her, that she has education beyond the basics. You also get the feeling that, in addition to professional continuing ed, she just studies this stuff for fun as a hobby. Very very knowledgeable. *I have seen so so many massage therapists. At least....10 others. Some good, some above average, some great. That is a lot of time and $ spent...I wish I had just found her first. Far and away, the best therapist I have worked with. *She knows the names of the muscles. Over the years, I have shied away from asking practitioners (not just massage therapists) the names of muscles as they touch them because they just dont remember them. Maria does remember them. Knowing helps me feel empowered to understand my pain and be able to do something about it. *She helped my husband understand how to better look for trigger points and to communicate with me (and I, him), so that when I need him to give me a massage at home, the whole experience is much more pleasant. *She is not intimidated by necks. Neck pain is complicated, and I have had many therapists just tell me "I dont really do necks," "I do not understand necks." Necks are really challenging. I was so encouraged that she didnt shy away from it."
