Reviews of Pacific Christian Counseling Center
"Wonderful practice. Amy is very good at what she does and would highly recommend to any adult or adolescent who would benefit from therapy."
"Steve Pierce is a wonderful counselor. He taught us to communicate!!!"
"Not everyone can handle 15 things at once and still be polite. But, when we don't know you and are trusting our daughter to your care, being rude will not get you far. Steven Pierce seemed like a nice enough man. We only spoke with him for about 20 seconds though. Amy seemed very nice when we had our initial consultation, but was stressed, anxious and downright rude the first time I took my daughter for her first individual therapy. She came in late, harried looking, and I said, "hah, yes, we came in the same way. It's a jungle out there!" She frowned at me and flurried my daughter into a room where I think she locked the door because I heard a click, but I'm not sure. I began having some trepidation about what was going on in there and etc. Knocked after about 5 minutes just to check and see what was going on and if my daughter was okay. I asked about the wi-fi password as a pretext to peek in on her and Amy yanks the door open, whispers, "I don't know. I don't know it off the top of my head" and closes the door. lol. Of course, when the waiting room was filled up and it was time to pay and make another appointment, she was cool and calm and very polite! Who knows what people go through in their day-to-day lives. I know everyone is stressed and stuff. I don't judge others personally but when my daughter's emotional state is at risk, I'm going to pass on someone who doesn't seem to have their own lives in order and cannot smile or be polite. When I called her to set the appointment she had a boisterous child in the background, so maybe she's a single mom? I dislike diving into people's lives but marriage is important to me as a Christian. My vows were important. And trying to raise a child without a partner is frowned upon for a reason. But, that's her business. Who knows! Not judging her personally, but I'm not going to trust Steve Pierce as much if he is hiring and working with someone who needs marriage counseling and not getting it? I dunno, just something else to consider. As a side note, I don't remember her mentioning Christianity or religion at all during the introduction or at any other time. But whatever. Good luck to her and Steve! Now I'm off to research homeschooling for my daughter which I'm late for because I'm home-caring of my oldest who just had spinal surgery where they put 14 anchor screws into her back and two metal rods (further than what was necessary and she'll have limited mobility for the rest of her life), buying a truck so I can start picking up furniture and selling it to find money because we're running out, going grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning for my wife who's the sole breadwinner, filling out a FAFSA form to go back to college, doing temp labor on weekends, making doctors appointments for me, my wife, my two daughters, finding a local church that aligns with our beliefs, and doing it all while smiling and saying, 'thank you' and 'you're welcome' because that's free and manners are the grease that keeps society from devolving into chaos."
