"Dr. Kappler was on call for my regular OBGYN when I called in with some concerns about early labor symptoms. She was so friendly and helpful (which put me at ease... I always hate calling the on-call docs and disturbing their weekends!). She even encouraged me to call again if I had any other concerns or questions. The next day I went into labor and she was on call to deliver my baby. While this was initially discouraging because I had opted for a natural birth and had vetted a lot of my questions/birthplan with another doc, it ended up being a wonderful experience. Dr. Kappler was sensitive to our wishes, and supported decisions that we made that I know she would not have chosen, but because we requested them, she made it work!
